Youngnails thinks about the professionals and how expensive it is to replenish so I feel they help you with the mystery boxes. The smaller boxes are for the beginners. Youngnails started to sell to everyone cause not all states and countries require a license. I’m a professional nail tech and absolutely love their company.
@WatchTashi2 жыл бұрын
This! I am so tired of hearing people complain about this box. If you're a professional this is an awesome value and I think that is who they had in mind when curating it. I feel like their products are better than the more expensive ones out there who also sell to the public, at least the ones I have tried anyway.
@lawandab80572 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. I'm a beginner but their videos, their content I mean everything. Anyone can learn to do their nails by watching step by step. I ordered all 3. One with slick and pour items. Conversions. Monomer. Tray with coffin clear. Paint pods and tools..cute. I did research and before they were only dealing professionals. And everyone else...❤

Best company ever, I went from a qualified but totally ignorant, slow and sloppy acrylic extension nail tech to someone who is proud of her work, all due to Young Nails. Would never go anywhere else now and their protein bond is the sh*t!

I do think it’s pretty cool that they give all basics/starter kit type products when usually mystery boxes are the things they can’t really sell so it doesn’t always go together. I feel like this was a really good intro to the brand like you said and honestly gives a really good base kit for people getting into nails

emily i don’t think you realize how good you’ve gotten with acrylic. and at nails in general, i feel like you always underestimate yourself when you’re an amazing nail artist. idk how you do it cause i could never be this creative and it’s come up with a design when i have so many options so props to you. also i definitely know what you mean by “ig feed nails" haha and idk what it is about this set but im like in love with it when usually i don’t find those kinds of set to be my favorite. probably because they all look kinda similar and it feels like im looking at the same set over and over again

Im a nail tech and been doing nails for about 4-5ish yrs now and I can make remember when I first started watching Emily and saw one of her nail videos I nearly had a heart attack!! Lol I cringed the entire video and in the comment section it seemed like so did a LOT of other ppl and other nail techs did too lol Emily was a hot mess and I say that with soooo much love!! it’s ok though she was new and had no clue what she was doing but literally EVERYONE starts out like that too! Even I sucked horribly when I first started lol so Emily has definitely come a loooooong way!! I’m super proud of her! She just needs to keep practicing and practicing like she has been and she will be a pro in no time ! 😊😊

I got this same box and also felt like I was set for life! I've followed YN for a couple years now and am such a fan because they don't require a license for their product. But they are a professional brand - they supply high quality products to pros and salons. I've never used it but Swipe seems like a cult classic (in addition to Protein Bond and Brush on Nail Glue) they say it's not just a cleanser but also a pH balancer so a little bit better than just alcohol. Their YT channel is a treasure trove of education for pros and DIYers alike.

Don’t know if anyone else has answered this already, but Young Nails does NOT require a license to purchase their products. I think the reason is beacons a lot of other countries don’t and requiring a license could mess with providing products to countries outside the USA. Also!! Thanks for this video!!! Haven’t even watched more then a min and I’m so excited to watch it!!! I was really hoping to see someone create some nails with this!!!!!! AHHH!
@MissEddieBlueKawaiiKrafts2 жыл бұрын
You use to need a license to purchase it in Canada, 9 years ago I could only get it when my MIL went to the beauty supply cuz she has a license. They didn’t even sell it at Sally’s here or actually any gel products at Sally’s at that time. All Sally’s in Canada had for nails at that time was nail files & an O.P.I display 😋 Oh & if anyones interested I swear by Young Nails non yellowing top coat!!!! 💅🏻

I usually love young nails kits but they definitely could’ve sized down on the bigger stuff and included a lot more smaller things like glitters or other acrylics or even acrylic brushes, I feel like it’d make it more worth it.

the smaller boxes have the glitter and such. I LOVED this year's large box, as it's set me up for the year!! A HUGE savings!!!

Young nails used to be exclusive to nail techs only. I’ve been purchasing from them for years and you had to put in your license number to even get an account. Once COVID hit and a lot of people started diy’ing their nails, they opened the site to everyone, licensed or not. I’m sure that the fact that ppl would order from Amazon and not directly from them played a part as well.
@leo19000812 жыл бұрын
I was wondering if anyone remembered you had to be licensed to purchase from them a while back..
@lissaj61552 жыл бұрын
I'm not a pro - I've never taken official classes or anything - but when I was having problems with acrylic, YN acrylic was a saving grace for me. I don't know if it's because I'm in a warmer climate, but it seemed the other brands I bought (none of them professional grade, because I'm not licensed) turned to putty immediately and I seemed to have no time to work even if I used smaller beads. YN acrylic was the first acrylic I was able to use to build a nice nail without requiring a ton of filing. With that being said, I also watch a lot of their teaching videos and they talk a lot about angling the nail down and letting gravity do some of the work, so I guess that's a big technique aspect of their products, being wetter.
@littlewifethatcould2 жыл бұрын
I agree. I’ve worked with acrylic for a couple years. It has never been my go to method because I could never build a nice nail. It always seemed like the acrylic would set as soon as I got the bead on my nail (I also live in a warmer climate, in a “southern” state). The only way to get a nice shape was to file the heck out my nails. It wasn’t until after I tried YN acrylic and Suzie’s acrylics and monomer from NCE, that I was able to get a good within a couple tries. Both companies have products that are slower setting and both companies tell you exactly why it’s a preferred method. If you know how to use it, slow setting monomer and acrylic honestly does do the work for you. I just feel like a lot of people don’t know how to use it so they don’t like it. But for me, they have been game changers!

As a professional nail technician and nail instructor at a paul Mitchell school in Nevada this box would be so worth the price because that would only be about a month or 2 worth of product for my clients but it’s an amazing starter kit. Btw cover pink is my favorite nude ever in any brand. But young nails use to require a license to purchase but not any longer due to other countries/state nail tech requirements are very different.

Yeah I think they are just a better price at professional supply stores.
@Krazy4Pink_Kerry2 жыл бұрын
The were always a pro only brand ever since they started. But about a couple of years ago they decided to change their policy and open up to everyone. (I believe it had to do with selling to other countries as most countries don’t require a nail tech license like in America) there was a bit of push back from some nail techs as they preferred it being a pro only brand but that’s what they chose to do so now anyone can buy from them and at the end of the day the products are still the same so it doesn’t really matter in my opinion. I am a qualified nail tech personally but some nail techs look down on DIY-ers an don’t want them to be able to buy the same products as them but imo it’s like life is too short do we really need to be all Gollum-ified an be like “my precious” you can’t have any. Lol. Plus Emily is a great example to show that just because someone isn’t qualified doesn’t mean they aren’t good at nails. As she is so good at nails now. X

The small mystery boxes were a great deal too! I bought both small boxes. I also wanted to share that their Swipe has acetone, it’s not recommended for cleaning off the tacky layer off soft gel/ polishes as it might remove the product due to the acetone. They have a ManiQ cleaning liquid and that you can use to clean the tacky layer off gels/polishes as it is solely alcohol based.

Their swipe is alcohol and acetone good for prepping the nail. Alcohol is for wiping off tacky layer from gels. Their protein bond is the best. Their acrylic and gels are amazing! The core acrylic is always consistent and great for beginners because it does set slower. It won’t dry on them, they have more time to perfect the nail. I do think they should have had more of a variety in the box. Like maybe including some glitters, colored acrylic, some rhinestones and maybe some young nails merch. Your nails look great!
