Hello Aaliyah, the lead guitarist Mark Farner is the lead singer. If you want to get blown away, check out “Inside Looking Out” live performance by GFR.

One of the things you can count on....like the sun coming up....GFRR.... fantastic talents. Great singing. Great keyboards great drumming.....Great songs. Awesome arrangements. We are still talking about this almost ...oh jeez I'm effing old hahahaha...I'm 61 years young. 40 plus ...wait almost 50 years later. This epic song is unstoppable. Period. The End. Full Stop.

This is a fantastic raw live version, of one of the greatest all American songs of all time in my opinion. I'm 61 and still jamming this, love to see young people appreciate! Hmmm a couple GFRR songs to check out, Footstompin Music, Walk Like A Man. and Some Kind of Wonderful all have incredible vocal parts... Cheers

But I'm not sure. Anyway we all loved this band, and yes, even as 10 year old little girls ❤ btw...Rob Zombie did a re-make of this song about 10 years ago or so, and it's good too! The people who are telling you to listen to inside looking out are really doing you a favor. However, I want to talk about this song. When Grand Funk Railroad became popular, a lot of the popular bands were from the BRITISH invasion. So the statement WE'RE an American band was very forceful. Even though they were very popular, this was a hit. Check out I'm your Captain Also..

Excellent choice of song - extremely poor choice of video. C'mon guys, in the interest of everybody, compare at least three different videos of the same song before you recommend it! The sound quality here is very poor that's why AAliyah couldn't hear the bass, which she would surely have mentioned as she usually does. This copy sounds way too tiny... as if someone scratches their nails on a whitewashed wall!
