The female harmony voice you hear is Rosemary Butler, who has the ability to blow the headphones right off your head. As many have suggested you do The Load-Out/Stay, you will hear her at full power, especially if you do the live BBC version.

It should be Danny Kortchmar on guitar. Lindley plays Lap Steel Guitar on most tracks with Browne.

That summer of 77 when this album came out was a wonderful time for music. Loved David’s playing on this and miss him so much. I suggest The Loadout/Stay live performance. Pay attention to David Lindley’s lap steel playing and falsetto voice.

Yep, that's an iconic voice that Jackson has. He sounds exactly the same way live as he does on his records. No auto tune here! Jackson's ability as a singer-songwriter is legend. His storytelling makes you see and feel what he is singing about - mostly human emotion - and I should know, I've seen him 17 times in concert!

This is from his album Running On Empty. A lot of the songs are about the life of a musician on the road. Some were recorded live at a show, some in hotel rooms, and at least one was recorded on the tour bus. One of my favorite albums.

He’s one of my favorite songwriters, and the eternal fight between living for love or survival is a recurring theme in his songs. The Pretender is another example. He has a deep catalog worth exploring. As an untrained music lover, I really enjoy your musically informed reactions, especially to some of my favorites. ✌️❤️🎶

Aaliyah, great reaction. Jackson Browne is a wonderful musician and songwriter. He has been doing this since he was 17 years old. Music is a journey and there is no destination, it is the soundtrack of our lives. I love how you have the ability to appreciate all genres because it is like a spider web 🕸️ it’s all connected. You are a wonderful soul. Thank you for all your hard work.

Rock Me on the Water - from his first album... a thoughtfull, soulful effort, he was so young when he wrote it in the early 70's ... he was a little over 20 years old... the lyrics and the narrative still hold truth today...

Hit song in 1980. Written by Jackson Browne. He used to be the neighbor of The Eagles. They used to live in Topanga Canyon in the 1970s. Browne and the late Glenn Frey wrote Take It Easy. They, Bob Seger, late JD Souther and Don Henley wrote Heartache Tonight. Both were hit songs for The Eagles. Warning ⚠️ The Eagles especially Don Henley are notorious for takedowns of their audio and videos. The sane with other clients of Irving Azoff. Rick Beato, Leland Sklar and Wings of Pegasus had some of their videos taken down because of them. Suggested video 📹: Jackson Browne sings Somebody's Baby 👶 1982 performance version.

Aaliyah, this was the opening track to Jackson's album by the same name. It was, for lack of a better explanation a musical documentary of a concert tour. It contains tracks written on the tour bus, in hotel rooms etc. interspersed with live tracks from the tour they were documenting. For perspective look up a review for the album. There are some real hidden treasures on the album that most don't get to hear due to our current predilection for hit and gratification.
