It honestly feels like watching it with a friend, fangirling together about it because you are so open, genuine and sincere how you feel :3 Young Royals is great in the sense that every character aren't just black and white. A person isn't only bad. A person isn't only good. I would say Simon is the one that stays consistently just purely good because of his high moral, respect for others and himself and his kindness. But someone like August, I look forward to seeing if your opinion about him changes as time goes by. He is an outstanding character, as hard as that is to believe now. Can't wait for your season 2 reactions! 🤗

Yes, our boy Simon is so brave to go back to that school and for standing up for himself to Wille. Also, can we just acknowledge how mature Simon was in that moment? He didn’t yell or get upset, he was very understanding and compassionate to Wilhem while still standing firm. I don’t think I would have been so graceful in that circumstance. Having started this series a few months after it first came out was torture waiting to see if it was gonna get renewed and then waiting like a year for season 2 but on the plus side of that was going through that torture with the amazing other people in this fandom. Everyone is so nice, and funny, and smart. I literally picked up on how layered this show is by watching other people’s reviews and reading other people’s takes on this show in general but season 1 specifically. It took over our lives so for a year we had nothing else to do but analyzed the hell out of this season and watch every interview and bts things we could get our hands on. lol

I was so impressed and proud of how he handled telling Wille that he was hurt and that he wasn't able to be a secret and respected him enough to let him know he can take the time he needs but simon also needed to protect himself in that moment after his trust was broken. ugh, our boy 🥹 I'm literally going down this rabbit hole now and like, I want to watch it all right now, but also- then it's over and I won't have any new stuff to watch- there's a lot going on in this household rn 🤣

Just to clarify, all three seasons take place during one school year. So season 2 picks up right after the Christmas break 😊 can't wait for you to see the drama that is season two lol

I fully agree with everything you said about Simon. I love how he handles the situation, telling Wille that he has to figure out what he wants instead of just blaming him (like it might have happened in a lot of other shows). I think to some extent he understands why Wille did what he did and he respects that choice. But he was also hurt by it, especially because Wille didn't keep his promise to stand by him. But I can't blame Wille for what he did. As messed up as it is, people only care about the video because they think it is the prince. The moment Wille denies it's him, it takes away the heat. Not just from him, but also from Simon... Also, they haven't been dating for long. Wille doesn't know how Simon feels about him or if their relationship will have a future. As long as they haven't figured out how serious they are, I actually don't think it is worth dealing with all of the attention this would bring if he didn't deny it. It's just too much too fast. The only thing I blame Wille for is that he didn't talk to Simon in advance and tell him that he would deny being in the video. But he's also a teenager under a huge amount of pressure, so it's not surprising he didn't handle this the way he should have. I just feel so sorry for them, because I think they are both right in their own way. It's heartbreaking. Also, don't skip August scenes. He's such an incredibly well written character 😉.

exactly! I'm not angry at the fact that Wille decided to say it wasn't him, I'm more upset at the fact that he didn't warn simon he was going to do that so it was like a complete blindside and really hurt simon! I was so happy that simon was giving him space to figure it out and just letting him know that he wasn't going to be able to be with him if it meant he was a secret - bow down to the legend that is Simon 🩶 You make great points! I had no clue at the time that him denying it would just make it kind of stop, I felt like it was going to just be a big topic of discussion bc there were so many people at the school and stuff that did know it was him, so I am happy that it was able to kind of die down after that too! 🩶

i'm not trying to justify wilhelm's actions especially because it ended up hurting simon, but i guess i just want you to also understand wilhelm's side, you don't have to like it but acknowledge that his whole life is ultimately controlled by the royal court, from the first episode, he struggles with this and the weight of the crown became heavier when his brother died, the expectations for him are higher as he is now crown prince. does he have to go along with it? of course not, but it is truly easier said than done. it's not going to be easy to break away from the royal court's control as it something that he has grown up with, it's what he knows. it doesn't help that he doesn't want to disappoint his family and his brother's legacy. it's just something you have to keep in mind for the whole 3 seasons of it and how he will come to terms with who he is and who he wants to be. thank you for watching young royals!

I love Wille and am upset at his decision to not talk to simon about it before denying it and I do understand why he did what he did and feel for the situation he is in - but I also really love simon and he didn't deserve that so I also feel like I'm carrying that pain 🤣🩶 I do love Wille though - don't get me wrong!
