So, Sheldon was in the right to worry about Missy and tell a trusted adult, but Missy is a lonely and hurt 13 year old. Of COURSE she’s not going to see it from a rational adult’s point of view. Many of us often forget what it was like to be 13: your body is changing, you’re able to understand more about the world around you but not DO anything about it, you feel like you can handle things (even if you actually cannot)…and that’s not even counting any incidents going on at school or home, such as bullying or divorce. In Missy’s case, she saw her brother become a teenage dad and her family excluded from the church community as a result (and given that Mary dedicated herself to the church for Missy’s sake, I wouldn’t be surprised if that story has been in Missy’s mind around or since the exclusion). Plus, she’s a girl in rural east Texas, and surrounded by conservative adults - you can imagine what mentors at school and church might have been telling her about her existence as a girl/young woman. Obviously, smoking and sneaking around town at night is PRETTY dangerous, but once again, Missy’s just a kid trying to find something that’ll make her feel in control of her life. [Spoilers for E22 - after the tornado it’s obvious that Missy truly loves her family and that she was just lashing out to feel in control of something. My guess is that she will try to be better even while sneaking out, but after George dies she will spiral again because TBBT tells us that Mary was a mess and Georgie had to take care of them both]

They also recived A free trip to California courtesy of East Texas Tech and an oilers ticket from a generous donor of Sheldon's university ...and now a trip to Germany paid by generous donor...these are just the perks that George and Mary received because they're the parents of Sheldon.. Its not George and Mary's fault if Sheldon matters .

A typical teenager breaking free from the authority of the house. Sheldon is just a scapegoat. It's easier for Missy to blame her parents playing favoritism rather than accepting the fact that she's currently choosing to be a dumb teen-ager which is a typical thing at her age. Just cut the drama of being a neglected child coz I did watched the show from season 1 ,George and Mary are trying their best to be good parents, they're not perfect but they're good parents .

Everyone was having a tough time there, more so than her and no one had time for her gossiping. And in the big scheme of things, the person she hurts most, particularly in the long run, it's herself. That is what some teenagers don't get. You might annoy your parents, but in real life in such a situation many kids (especially if they ran more than once) spend time in jail, lose good friends, get in the wrong circles and from there they spiral down. And all that because they never ask themselves: who do I hurt by doing X? What are the short-time consequences and what are the long-term consequences? I know with 13 is a lot to ask, but I can assure you 80% of the parents I know whould have not accepted such behaviour in their house.

I get why Sheldon told his parents about Missy’s smoking habits, he was worried about her safety and well-being. Missy never realized that it only takes a few cigarettes to start and addiction that destroys your health permanently. Also her friend is a super bad influence and is incredibly rude to Pastor Jeff
