Youngblood was a good run at the time with it's art work and storyline.

@@GabyGeorge1996 I have been rereading the Extreme Universe after 20 years. Thanks to digital comics and the internet, I can finally track down some issues I never had access to. It's a mess. The biggest problem is the need to purchase every single issue of of every single title to follow the story. That becomes a problem when so many titles are 1-shots, go on hiatus for 6 months to a year, continue to come out with multiple volumes, constantly jumping around in the timeline, too derivative of marvel, starting series and then ending them before issue 5, and no central editor who had enough control to oversee everything. Things get better when Eric Stephenson takes over most of the reigns from Liefeld but everything is still very messy. I'll put it this way - it's better than I remember and better than most people give him credit for - but most of the good came a year or two into his project - so most readers never make it that far. As I try to put together Chapel and Al Simmons life before Spawn - it's way messier than it should be for as short a run as Chapel got. I think his Extreme Universe feels a little bit like modern Marvel due to the constant crossovers and never give a series time to flesh out a character before moving on. Even now when I read the early Extreme Universe I am constantly shocked by the number of titles (and that some went on as long as they did) and find myself rolling my eyes a little every time I have to add another one to my reading list.
