@artshop87322 жыл бұрын
You can stop panic attacks from happening, distract yourself when you feel it brewing, you can do that with: listening to music, talking to a friend, counting from 100 to 200 with steps of 9, think of cats and dogs dancing at a party. And when you do have a panic attack you can try to calmly breathe in through the nose. But if your panic attack is too big for you to think rationally well just run lol. Get too a safe space and go back to where you came from whether that be right after calming down or on a different day

Sounds like you got over the fear of death when you had your panic attack. People usually fear death, so they’d want to be surrounded by people they love to make it less scary. It could’ve been a mixture of contempt and partial shame - you probably didn’t want anyone to see you in this anxious state simply because the pressure made you seem “invincible”

I once had a panic attack while working at Wendy’s. I was trembling and violently shaking while trying to cook burgers and assemble sandwhichs at the same time. This went on for what felt like a long time until I finally broke down crying. It wasn't until the Pandemic hit that I had a full blown panic attack and I never really knew why it happened. Now I hear a bunch of stories about how they went through something similar and now even KZbinrs are sharing the exact same thing we've all been going through. I did so many pushups one night and had my first panic attack two years ago. It got so hard to breathe and I thought I was going to die, ambulance came and I calmed down afterwards but I kept getting anxiety attacks after every workout ever since. After having a spiritual epiphany, I destroyed it and it’s gone now because I learned to take things slow and no longer pressure myself. If you’re facing this, you need to have a positive outlook on life and understand that it’s all in your mind. It wasn’t the incident that caused it, it was your thought process/mindset leading up to it that caused it. Find your inner peace and you’ll realize it’s all in your head.

i used to get anxiety attacks, and they ruined my ability to go to sleep to the point where i got scared of going to bed, bcz i constantly feared anxiety attacks. so in order to stay awake i started drinking REDBULL... which surprise surprise... made it worse. after some time i managed to stop drinking it. and with alot of hard work, and a little help from a friend i could sleep on call with, i can now sleep alone with 99% chance of not getting any anxiety attack. i still strugle to get my sleep schedule right, but im working on it, and proud of my progress. honestly though, the first half of this video really hurt to watch. glad u had an eyeopener.

When you thought you were dying, and didn't want anyone around you, I really think it was about a release of deep-seated obligation, self-control, and self-degradation. When you said you always felt like you have to pursue this SOMETHING, and you can't explain what it is (DEFINITELY understand btw), I think, during your attack, you realized you're were no longer obligated to that deep-seated feeling. Not saying you don't love your folks or anyone else, but in that inital moment, you probably didn't see the point in anything or anyone, and unburden yourself from EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. Ironically, I think that helped you, I think the idea of it all being over, took you from feeling weighed down, to giving you sense of weightlessness; that weightlessness allowed you to tap back into your control of the situation (eg: calling your friend). Whenever you feel that seated pressure to do or to achieve that MORE, go through mental notes in your head on what you've already completed and achieved, and continue on with your day; the past is gone, and tomorrow is worrying about itself, so the only place for your peace, is the present moment.

I think everyone who hasn’t experienced anxiety views people who has issues with anxiety as being a weak person. Even I used to view it as being mentally weak, that and depression. Thought it was some only rich kids had to deal with. Kinda like we see people who crying over women or men as being weak, that is until you fall in love and find yourself crying over a woman or man. Some things have to be experienced to be respected.

I used to have multiple panic attacks a day, every day and the worst one was when I actually went to get help for it, the doctors waiting room was full so I had to just lean against the wall, try to hold conversations with people I haven't spoken to in years and didn't really like and then I just got super dizzy. The floor looked like it was moving up to me at a 90 degree angle and I felt like I had hit my head since it got all fuzzy, warm and tender. I didn't even fall or move but I genuinely just thought I fell head first onto the floor it was terrifying. I thought I was genuinely about to die and this old lady beside me is trying to show me pictures of her newly born grandchild and speaking about how good looking Cillian Murphy was. Like, Gertrude with the gammy hip, I'm straight up about to die right now, please shut up.

I remember my first panic attack. It was my favorite cousin's birthday. They were all happy in the table eating when all of a sudden my heart started beating super fast and everything went super blurry. I couldn't breathe or concentrate so I started panicking because I thought I was going to die. I started yelling and everybody thought I was joking but they soon realized I was serious. I was taken to the hospital in my cousins car, but on the way I could feel the impending doom that everything was going to be over for me. I told my cousin to take care of my family and started crying because she thought I was going to die. I felt really bad for her because It was her special day . When I arrived at the hospital all I remember was me crying and twisting, people staring at me, and the nurse telling me to be quiet. Soon, then doctor came to see me and told me that it was just a panic attack and told me to relax, everything is going to be fine. He was a nice doctor, he even made a joke telling me that I smelled like tacos and it made him hungry. He said that panic attacks take a toll on the body because they are the equivalent of running a 26 mile marathon in just a few minutes. Later I was given a pill to tranquilize so I felt really sleepy. Honestly it was the best sleep I had gotten in months. When I woke, It was a huge relief for me knowing that I was going to live. After reflecting on the incident, I realized that I was worrying too much on unnecessary things, I was putting too much things to do on my day. I was stressing my mind and body more than I could handle so it built up into a panic attack. It was a hard lesson but a good lesson. Now years later, I rarely worry about anything that is not in my control, I pray and put my burdens in God's hands. Every morning I thanks to God for another day and receive every day as a gift.

If you are reading this, stay strong, healthy, safe, and don't lose hope. We will overcome 2020's adversities soon with kindness, resilience and resistance. During these dark times there is always hope in the middle of the fear. There are good news: God promises to be with you because he loves you. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16. I just want to let everyone know that Jesus loves you with a passion more than you can imagine. Its never too late in this life to put your trust in him. Cast all your burdens on Jesus because he cares for you. If you've got pain He's a pain taker If you feel lost He's a way maker If you need freedom or saving He's a prison-shaking Savior If you've got chains He's a chain breaker. Don't let your heart be troubled in these times. I wish you the best day.
