The worse pain I have every experienced was, cancer but that was cancer, having a muscle cramp in my leg. It felt like paralysis but you could move your leg so it felt like someone shot my leg when ever I moved it slightly, so the main mode of transportation for that day was army crawling.

I had a very similar reaction this past Christmas season. It was Christmas, my birthday, then hives. Head to toe swelling, welts, and hives, I was on steroids (the worst tasting shit EVER), prednisone, and Benadryl. So. Much. Benadryl. Still not sure what caused it, lasted two weeks, first it was red, then it was white hives that felt like someone was slicing my skin open with serrated knives. Whenever it toned down from the steroids and Benadryl, it constantly felt like my muscles were pulsating under my skin. Like they were threatening me and my family that any wrong move and they’d make me flare up again. Which they did, every two hours. It was absolutely misery. I haven’t been able to take an allergy test yet so I’m not sure what caused it and jaiden now saying that she came back negative for any allergies is SCARING ME… but I think I should get me an epipen… just in case. Because that sounds heavenly and I wish that someone gave me that while I was going through it.

Just watching all of your videos now. This exact scenario happened to me when I was balancing full-time work and graduate school. I had hives all up and down my trunk and legs but they were not the painful part. The pain came instead from having one major joint swell to the size of a softball each morning, which would obviously look strange, but also be incredibly painful for at least 24 hours. The swelling would die down and then reappear in another random joint the following day. It was like a lottery for which joint would turn into a glowing red orb of anguish everyday. Same fix as you too though. I was prescribed some steroids and immunosuppressants. None of it has ever come back since. They gave me the same spiel about too much stress and those physiological reactions activating some sort of latent genetic factors that cause harmful immune system responses. It was insane, and horrible, and I felt totally helpless. No surprise that they were unable to give you a firm diagnosis though. The whole field of rheumatology is still in a state of, for lack of a better phrase, "let's throw pasta against a wall and see what sticks". Not that rheumatologists aren't very smart. It's just that the immune system is still a great unknown thing and a very complex problem to solve. I'm very glad you had family and responded quick enough to manage your health. And hopefully symptoms have never returned!

This happened to me once. It felt like the itch was between two layers of skin and would only get worse when itched. Thankfully, the ibuprofen we had was not expired, so after a few hours of extreme pain I was fine. Hives can go eat metal forks.

Recently had a stress hives break out myself and remembered this video. If it helps anyone, cold epsom salt baths might help you rest, or at least long enough so you can get to a clinic/hospital as an adult who depends on themself to be taken somewhere. Took one in between doses when I woke up after unconsciously scratching for a while and it helped me sleep so I could drive to the ER with relative calmness.

So, I've had hives twice, both from allergic reactions to medication. The second time, which I remember more clearly, I went to the hospital at like- 12:00 or something at night, and I'm pretty sure I got home at about 3 or 4 a clock. But, I remember that both times, I have never used an epi pen. (I think that's how you spell it)

While I've never had hives, I have had a few itching sensations around my hands and feet. Speaking of feet, I also have had surgery on my feet because, let's just say I've had a few "walking problems," when I was a kid. I always would walk on my tip-toes. But this is something I'd rather not explain because, the story would be too long, and I wouldn't even know where to begin. But what I will say, is that I had casts and braces on my legs. This went on for 6 years, from 3rd-8th grade. Then I was put in a wheelchair in 5th grade. This isn't necessarily the worst thing that happened to me, but I thought it would be something that I would share. Even though this is a personal story. (I know this seems like a lot to take in, but, trust me.) Edit: The worst thing that has happened to me was being stung by a wasp. (I'm not joking.) I have never forgotten this, nor will I ever forget it. (I don't remember when it happened.) I get PTSD of that incident every time I see one.

Jadien: Exists Stress, hives, and medical bills: You know the rules, it’s time to die
A-DrewG 2 жыл бұрын
Even though it was the US (and California for the first one) the medical bills wouldn't have been that bad. First off the most expensive costs come from surgery's (mind you them straitening your nose is considered a "minor" surgery), then if they stick in IV in you for medicines or fluids is the next most expensive. Otherwise a quick little checkup costs ~$100. Really the most expensive thing would be if she had to pay for the Epipen, but I don't know my own experience in Arizona Urgent Care and Hospitals is that they always gave me a Epipen for free (for some reason).

Wirchy 2 ай бұрын
Hey, Jaiden. Yeah, I know this is a really late comment, but your video was a lot of help to me who was going through something very familiar. I had just recovered from a week of having covid, and I was finally getting back to reality. School was piling up severely, so I was really stressed thinking about how I’m gonna catch up with all my work. 3 days later, I developed a really bad itch in school. I didn’t think anything of it, so I just thought that it was the sun exposure because I was locked away for a week. That night I get home and when getting in the shower I noticed both sides of my chest and my thighs were covered in red welches. Because I saw your video, I instantly knew that it was hives. Did I do anything about it? No. I took a Benadryl and went to bed. Next morning the hives disappeared, so I thought it was over, until after lunch that day in school when the itching got even worse. I couldn’t even concentrate, and I saw that the hives were spreading to my biceps. It felt like my whole body was itchy, and the rest of the school day, I couldn’t even concentrate on my work. I get home that day, and it’s progressively getting worse. It’s spreading to my neck, face, forearms, and shins. I wait 40 minutes in the clinic with my dad, and we’re recommended some pills to take that lessen the itching. The rest of that Friday night was horrible. If I moved, it felt like my skin was on fire. My whole back was red, and my torso might as well been the same. I just ended up spending the day playing P5R to try and distract me and trying not to think of the burning itch on practically every part of my body. Fast forward to now, it’s one day later, and it’s spread to my eyes. The hives had eased since I’ve got an unhealthy amount Benadryl in my veins to numb the pain, but I don’t know how long it is going to take for them to go away. Homework is piling up, I’m in pain, and it’s looking kind of grim. If it weren’t for this video, I would be completely lost on my predicament. So while it isn’t much an offering, I wanted to share my story and also say thank you for helping me understand the hell I’ve just entered.

i had hives at one point, we think it might've been that i developed an allergy to penicillin because i had to take it a lot as a kid due to strep. i had the same attitude towards it but it only lasted for a day thankfully but i did have to get a steroid shot

I had unexplained hives once during one of my undergrad years, but they were nowhere NEAR this bad! I didn't need an epipen, for one thing. For another, they were _exclusively_ localized to my hands and feet. Nowhere else. They didn't hurt too bad, and even then only when I touched things or walked, which was extremely inconvenient. My parents thought it might have been bedbugs, but fortunately it wasn't. They eventually went away on their own, but not until I had spent a few nights wearing socks on my hands and feet just to make sure nothing bit them. Also, just like in your case, my doctor had no idea what might have caused it. Anyway, it really sucks that you had to go through that. I know my hives experience doesn't even compare to yours, but I still wanted to share my experience because yours reminded me of it.

oH gOsH something very similar happened to me actually lol. I remember waking up one morning a few years ago with some large red splotches all over my skin. They were a little itchy but not unbearable like you experienced. I told my mom about it and she didn't know what was happening so she just sent me to school with giant (might I add very noticeable) red spots all over. I made sure to wear long sleeves and pants that day lol. As the day progressed, I just got more and more itchy, to the point where if I moved too much, I'd literally fall to the ground and look like I'm having a seizure with how much I was scratching and twitching. It felt like my skin was constantly on itchy sensitive fireeeee 😭I went to an after school care, so the whole time I was there, I wasn't able to participate in any of the physical activities they had us do bc moving was bleh. The next day was a little bit less itchy, but I still had big ol' hive spots all over. So we went to urgent care, and they asked me basically the same questions they asked you. The answer to all of them was no, and they didn't tell me I had dermatitis either. They said that it was hives and they didn't know what they were caused by so they gave me some medication and told me to be careful or smth. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gurl I felt that. Two years ago I was ice skating with family and I was wearing a sweater so I got pretty hot after a while and at first it started at my back/back of my neck and I was like “hm this is weird” when I got home it spread all over my body, it was a nightmare and I had no idea what caused it but my mom thought that maybe my sweat paired with something in the fabric of the sweater was the reason but it didn’t make sense because it was all over my body already. The next day it got even worse and my parents weren’t home but they called every once in a while to check up on me, my dad suggested I just wear 100% cotton cloths so I did. It eventually spread to my hands and feet and I couldn’t touch anything it was so bad. My parents didn’t think it was necessary to see a doctor so we didn’t do anything it just went away after 2 days but looking back like why didn’t we go to the doctor like I was in so much pain and I wanted to figure out why it happened. Anyways the night before they went away we had a raclette style dinner and the pain and itchyness paired with the heat of the raclette was not it, I also wanted sardines for lunch but since it already spread to my hands I couldn’t open the tin cause it was so painful so I asked my sister to do it, now I can’t eat sardines, raclette or even fondu without cringing or remembering the pain (ik know im like 2 yrs late to this but whatever)

I have hives as well and I’ve been stuck with an epipen and it’s a great feeling when it just disappears. I’ve had the steroid shot too and it’s magic. It’s never permanently gotten rid of the issue, but at least I know how to treat for a good amount of time

I've had really bad eczema and on the back of my hand it felt like a whole colony of ants was crawling on my hand while a bear was scratching it too and it also spread to my legs and it lasted two years but it's basically over

Maybe allergic to something ari stepped in? Poop in his cage on his foot and his sharp nails scratched her causing it to go into their body past the skin.

It's like in Scooby Doo where they rip off the mask but instead of it being old man Jenkins it was the bed all along. And he would've gotten away with it if it wasn't for that meddling animator and her bird too.

I never had hives but I do have chronic pain which pikes up every now and then (in fact, it did while watching this lol) and I can definitely relate to just sitting/lying on the floor not being able to move and just wanting to perish. ;v;

I remember when I was about 8, I wouldn’t say it’s as bad as hives, but I had a stomach ache to the point where I couldn’t move and i threw up 15 times or more that day, honestly the worst sickness i had as a child lol.

I’m severely allergic to bees and last time I was stung I couldn’t walk for about two weeks, and my parents reaction was basically “hmmmmmmm….. some Advil should do the trick”
