We recommend having your clients wash at the end of the service. Soaps contain a lot of oils and can interfere with the process.

This was SO helpful! Love learning the different applications of your many products. Just so I have it straight.. Gloss = 2 min in led Finish = 2 min in led and new stain resistant is the same? How do you prevent bubbles from forming in your concealer gel pot? And how do you get rid of bubbles in the concealer pot?

Usually if you let them sit for a while, the bubbles will come up to the surface. You can use a brush or orange wood stick to pop them on the surface. The challenge is to keep from getting bubbles in the first place 😊 If you need to mix your gels, stir them gently & try not to “whip” air into it. If you are getting bubbles in your gel when you are picking up product & pulling a string of it, keep your brush closer to the surface & let the string break away before you move across the jar.

The difference between flex and build is the viscosity. Gloss is a hard gel top coat and finish is a non tack top coat.

We don't necessarily prefer one over the other but we prefer to sculpt with forms over using tips. As for dual forms we do like using our full cover tips for that with our hard gel as well. We have great videos on that.

Synergy gel is a true hard gel. There is no acrylic in it. It can not be soaked off.

Yes, prep normally, protein bond twice, then base gel, then builder or sculptor gel, then one of the top coats or gloss gel. Hard gel is a great alternative to acrylic and will be very strong and durable. A lot of people who are sensitive to acrylic or just don't like it use hard gel instead.

These are hard gels not poly/hybrid gels. You need a lamp to cure, they will not air dry at all. And I believe you have to file these off, not soak off.

ManiQ is soft as in can be soaked off. Synergy gel is hard, can not be filed off. Both are great just depends on what your removal process is.

About the gel. (Sorry I'm a new learner so im not that smart. Only been doing my own nails for a year almost.) Sometimes,mostly with my thumb,by the time I get to my ring finger(even after flash curing) I have a runny or watery liquid all over my thumb. I'm assuming I'm trying to work too fast but even when I think I cure long enough (I'm doing one hand and starting at one side then coming back to the other for the next step) it gets a liquid substance all over my fingers. I also just bought my products so they aren't old or separated. I'm sorry that was long but I was trying to give the most information I can. I'm just confused as to what I might be doing wrong.

If your product is running, try applying your product on 1-2 nails at a time and cure them until they don't move (30 seconds) then finish the next 1-2, cure for 30 seconds, do the thumbs separately and fully cure the whole hand for 60 seconds. If you are still having issues with your product running, you may need a new light (if it's older, it can lose it's curing power even if the lights still come on) or you may want to try using a thicker, less self leveling gel. In the Synergy line, we always recommend starting with a layer of Base for the best adhesion and then the Sculptor gels are thicker and less likely to run. Clear Sculptor in the pot is the thickest, non-leveling gel.

All will work just depends what you like to work with, build or clear sculptor. Always be sure to use protein bond and base gel first

If you are adding gel over the full coverage tip once it's applied, this would be considered a full set and you would charge that price. However, if you are just applying them as a temporary set and only applying the tip with no enhancement, you may charge less as it is less product, time and technique.

The protein bond is the primer. And yes, you prep the nail for gel application the same way you would prep the nail for an acrylic application

Nail prep for gel and acrylic application: 1. Push back the cuticles 2. Buff natural shine off nail plate 3. Apply dehydrator to buffed nail plate 4. Apply primer to nails 5. Apply acrylic or gel now to nails

We push back the cuticles, remove shine from the nail with our 150 grit sanding band. We don't recommend buffing as it makes the nail too smooth ang product adheres better with a textured surface. Then cleanse with swipe and that's our dehydrator as well. Lastly, apply protein bond.

All gels can be used for building and are applied the same, the difference is the viscosity (the thickness) so it is a preference which you like to work with

You said you can use the base gel with regular gel, did you mean like gel polish? And if so would you polish immediately after curing it? I tried this method today and she already has lifting issues.

You can use the Synergy Base instead of your ManiQ Base Coat when you are doing a gel polish if they client needs a harder layer. You would apply the Synergy Base, cure for 1 minute and without removing the tacky layer, go right into your gel polish color. If the client is having lifting issues and has not had issues with the ManiQ Base, their nails may just need the flexibility of ManiQ rather than the hardness of Synergy.

@@youngnailsinc thank you for replying!! I have one more question… i cured the base for 1 minute and it seemed like it didn’t stick at all… like it wiped right off… am I applying it thin enough? I did all the cuticle and nail prep.. I usually use a bond before applying the gel and it makes the nail look kind of shiny and not dehydrated anymore, could that be the reason?
