The Green Lantern franchise did it right. They weren't lazy and just race-swapped Hal Jordan from white to black but created a whole new original character with own back story in Jon Stewart. from europe, it seems like this is a mostly american issue. over here when we talk about people, we dont always preface everything we say with the skin color of the person we're talking about. the day i found out that in america, on election day, the exit polls actually ask people what their skin color is, i nearly fell off my damn chair and choked. if that happened over here people would literally be screaming and suing the government because thats fascist. im still waiting for the day when you people find out skin color is just a phenotype and doesnt even correlate one to one to ethnicity. instead of talking about "black superheroes" talk about "zulu" or "pygmy superheroes". that would be the day. that would show real clear how ridiculous your whole skin color centric world view is. there are bigger genetic differences between different ethnicities in africa than between them and germanic people.

@@talentroller4413 Well, for me, I feel the main protaganists/antagonists are under utilized. So T'chall, Klaue and Killmonger. It comes down to story structure and writing for me. After seeing the movie, I almost immediately started to think about ways to tell the same story in a more coherant manner, while putting the characters abilities and motivations on display, and leaving room for some awesome action. For one thing, how about T'challa actually using those stealth shoes, to investigate Killmongers movements within Wakandan borders. Killmonger having used the capture (as opposed to the killing) of Klaue. Klaue naturally having made a deal with Killmonger to get at the vibranium. The betrayal of Klaue would happen in front of T'challa, and the other Wakandans, inside their own borders. Killmonger could still blame T'challa for the lapse in judgement to gain control, and we can still see T'challa grapple with his Father's mistakes and the pressures of leadership, to pick himself up and move forward as a character. Sadly, that's just an awesome concept in my mind.

@Mahogany Abridged Same shit with Superman. They want to race swap an already established white Superman and make him black. They are LITERALLY painting Kent in black LMAO ! This is how they want to promote black culture, by stealing and washing other characters. But why don't they use already great and amazing black characters that are in comics? Because, as you said, they don't know shit about them. Nobody reads or has at least a little form of decency to read about comics. Or at the VERE LEAST to do some research about other multiverses in comics and other characters. I do this as well, i don't read a shit ton about comics, but at least i have the decency to know more than only what's put on screen. Fans nowadays (and companies like WB) don't know shit other than what's put on screen. They want a black Kal-El, but they use Kent and blackwash him. Why not use CALVIN ELLIS for it? The dude is exactly what they are looking for. And he is, at least in my opinion, an amazing and very interesting character on his own. I would love to see him in a movie or series. It would make a cool story. Of course, you could argue that he is not as cool or interesting as Kent Superman, but let's be honest, you could say that about a lot of other heroes of any color you want. The point still would stand, Calvin is a very cool character.

This woke anti racist agenda is creating hate and racism like I've never seen in my lifetime. Another decade or so when the elderly have moved on racism would have been dead but that won't do so they have to install that hatred into new generations because unfortunately many people don't look at the big picture. A characters identity does play a part of course, any fleshed out character will be a certain gender or race or nationality ect, which doesn't necessarily define who they are but becomes part of the character itself. Which is why people identify the characters as such (which is perfectly normal thing to do). Which is why swapping characters identity is met with resistance, it's not racism or sexism ect, your fucking with a set character. @@sebastianthegamingking8619 Technically incorrect. He did claim to be A Superman, but not the original. Much the same way as Nightwing or any of the Robins being "Bats," calling him a fake would be improper, since he never postured himself as the original, unlike so many of the others during the War of the Supermen. John Henry Irons' only aim was to carry on the LEGACY of Superman, and he made that clear from the jump.

@@sebastianthegamingking8619 Whether he got his ass handed to him was never the point. He carried the torch by taking on the actual core of Superman, which was never about how strong he was. None of the other pretenders did that. If you don't get what I mean, then I'm not sure you get the point of Superman in the first place.

I grew up watching the DC animated universe. Never was able to get into comics. Glad you're here to inform us. Cheers.
