I have done this 100 times and every time I change my password I get an email saying my password was changed but when I press log in it just goes to an error page that says "Something went wrong, we are working on fixing this." But it's been a month. FB keeps sending me emails that I have 800 new notifications etc. I have tried every angle even went and tried to recover it and changed the email associated with the account - but I am always sent to the same page.

This actually works! When she says try logging in to the device that your facebook account is associated with or recognized, I did that. Viola! What happen to me was my facebook account was locked for security reasons (maybe hacked, but not sure,because my email and information was not changed) Facebook emailed me a link to unlock my account after I verified my ID. But each time I click on the link it goes to the page that I am blocked and I need to do the same procedure with the ID. I have double checked and the link is correct. I tried from mobile phone and other device like computer, laptop. The email also says I can try and login normally and use the supplied code as my password. FB has locked my account for about 12 years. If you never put in your phone -- you're out of luck. I can log into my "account" but oh yeah -- still locked. Actually it's a blessing. Hey guys, this might be helpful for those still locked out. Delete your cookies. I kept going round and round and then decided to delete all cookies and internet history. Now I am restored after following these instructions.
