This was a great discussion and reminds me of some musings I've been having about leaving the internet one day and trying to have a more local impact - like having my work sold in local shops, or having an exhibition etc I think that could be really fulfilling - with the added bonus of not having to abide by algorithm rules and changes etc. I like your reminder to trust all encouragement and support, and knowing that it doesn't have to come through metrics on social media.

Localizing is great because once you're locked into a community your art begins to feed/influence the community just as the community feeds and influences your art... And that's authentic cultural formation and it's beautiful!!

I finally deleted IG from my phone!! Oohhhhh it makes me feel good..... The self doubt, the comparisons, oh.....no more of that. I can now produce my art....in peace!!
