I love the perspective on chores as just helping one another when able rather than “I can’t believe he/she didn’t see that.” It’s hard especially with kids but important to work on! Great reminder! I feel for the families that have one parent who works outside of the home so most of the household chores fall on the one at home. That’s where I am at and it’s hard to find a balance and not take more on my plate.

I agree so much with Shawn about putting effort into a relationship, especially where one has been togethwr for years. You respect eachother and appreciate eachother. My relationships never worked because they cheated repetetivly. Thats mot valuing your partner. Also, wjeee i live, unfortulantley, people has completely lost the values of family. People have family, But dont value the gift it is.

My first 2 kids went from bassinet to crib no problem never slept with me. My 3 rd baby wouldn’t sleep at all unless I held her or laid her with me.. 😐😑 but at 12 months she got put in her crib and she’s been there ever since thank the Lord Jesus! 😅 now I’m 31 weeks pregnant baby 4 and I’m praying she likes her bassinet and crib right away! 🙏🏻 please pray for me! ❤😂

I traveled for a living. I'm a great packer. But! I'm high maintenence. 2 full suitcases. But I would be 1 place 16 weeks then pack up and go somewhere 2 weeks. I could be gone 5 months. So taking everything you need is habit.

😡 Oh my gosh !! The WORST thing to tell someone is to "Get over it." It does not matter how long ago something occurred. (You referred to this happening last year, Andrew) We don't GET OVER things. We WORK THROUGH them. Otherwise, the issue will never truly be resolved. Shawn is obviously still hurt by the fact that you were gone for an entire week, Andrew. 😕 Please do not be insensitive to this. (And I would say that normally, Shawn comes across as less sensitive to Andrew's viewpoints) True, Shawn will need to let this go without feeling the need to rehash, yet if you're displaying insensitivity, Andrew, as if she shouldn't be or have been bothered .... there will certainly be lingering resentment.

Have a family movie night and everyone climbs in mom and dad's bed and snuggles. I can see Shawn's reason because I did the same thing but I was in a family of 5 kids and I was the baby with 4 older brothers. When I got old enough my room was the formal living room because we had a 3 bedroom house with 2 brothers in the same bed each room. So my middle brother loved to pick on me . He would go outside my bedroom /living room large window and make the most scary sounds saying "bloody mary" in a spooky drawn out sound and of course I ran to my mom and was there for a long time. But I didn't hesitate when my son would get in our bed when he was a little guy, but he was sneaky in the middle of the night if he woke up he would come to the bottom of the bed and get under the covers and slowly crawl up until he was up to the pillows. We sometimes woke up and took him back but he got so good at the creeping that he would be there in the morning and we would ask each other what time he got in the bed and we neither knew. I still do movie time and he gets on the other side of the bed (single now). He doesn't stay there just sitting through the movie. I know he won't do that for long but I cherish the one on one time because a lot the time we get better discussions than any other time. Enjoy every second because you blink and they will be adults. God bless you and your family. There is no right or wrong as long as you love them and they know that they can tell you anything.
