$100k in one hour. That’s how much Mel Robbins makes to stand on stage and share her message with a room of thousands.
But this hasn’t always been Mel’s reality. From the financial crisis to being fired from her dream job at the onset of the pandemic - Mel is sharing her simple secrets that paved the way for her success, even in the most unlikely circumstances.
Tune in for a candid conversation around money, female entrepreneurship and how to connect the dots between a simple high-five and high self-worth. Plus, Mel reveals how she showed imposter syndrome the door, and the one thing you can do right now to negotiate a higher pay packet.

- 5 second rule - put a price tag on yourself FOR EVERYTHING. Ask them their budget, and say my usual is double - outworking beats talent - if youre worried about imposter syndrome, PREPARE!! - 100k to give a talk. BE PROUD OF THE MONEY YOU MAKE - getting up after failing is in your DNA bc you learnt how to walk. - focus on things most people dont focus on. (Make invisible people feel important, be kind to them bc they will spread your name. Share your mistakes and save people from the heartache and the headache) set the intention to move people - if you underprice yourself bc of your insecurities, people wont believe that you’re good - psychologically, when you say no, you become more attractive bc of the chase mechanism. (More in males) - high-five/fist-bump the mirror, align yourself with who you want to be for a minute - you excel new neural pathways when you combine affirmations with unexpected physical movement - research shows that tough-love doesnt work - celebrate yourself with a high-five just for waking up - you are the most important to yourself!

I’ll be the one to say it. Mel Robbins could have had better interviewers. Instead of asking deep meaningful questions or ideas to Mel. They brought the conversation back to themselves, in a very superficial way. A good interviewer would have kept the focus at hand. By asking more questions for viewers with this large amount of GOLD spilling out of Mel’s mouth.

100%.. omg, I was so annoyed when the interviewer interrupted Mel to say "this is my fav. intro everrr. blah blah blah".. like really? Mel was in the middle of explaining how she negotiates her salary.

Listening to you, I honestly could swear I was listening to you tell my story. Your drive and motivation is the same focus as to why I started my channel. I too have overcome (and still in the process of overcoming) great amounts of loss, am a recovering alcoholic, endured 19 years of narcissistic abuse, lost my job as a nurse due to cptsd, and the list goes on. I too had to ask my parents to dig me out of debt, have two teenage girls, am the hardest worker I know, always on the go, struggle with my cptsd, but keep going! You and I are singing from the same choir and I commend you for all you do! God bless you
