In this video "🔥🔥Your battery will last forever! We reanimate an OLD battery without spending money at the dealer" we will deal with a battery that can no longer hold a charge. I'll show you how to safely disassemble your battery, clean it of old electrolyte that has become dark and dirty, and replace it with fresh one. 🛢️🧼
👓🧤 Before starting work, let's not forget about safety measures: it is important to use safety glasses and rubber gloves, since electrolyte is a dangerous mixture of sulfuric acid and water.
We'll start by removing the battery covers to gain access to the battery's internals. Then we neutralize the old electrolyte with soda and thoroughly rinse the insides with water to remove all dirt and acid residues. 🚿
Next, fill in new electrolyte and charge the battery until fully charged. This step will help restore its capacity and ensure that the battery performs like new. 🔌⚡
Once fully charged, we will check the voltage to ensure the procedure was successful. If everything is done correctly, your battery will be restored and ready to use! 🔍🔋
Don't forget to like if you liked this video and subscribe to the channel so you don't miss new videos. Thanks for watching, and see you again on the channel! 🎥👍

I have a few questions. What did you do with the old electrolyte? What did you do with the water after rinsing the battery? What is the point of purchasing a new electrolyte? If you didn't pour it down the drain, how much does it cost to dispose of the liquids? How does this compare to purchasing a new, technologically more efficient battery? Such rinsing will not give the desired results if you have a short circuit due to natural peeling of the linings.

The results of the procedure are very questionable and even speculative, since flooded batteries suffer from strong sulfation when discharged to zero, which the longer it lasts, the more it crystallizes and its breakdown into sulfate and lead is worsened. Likewise, the active material of the plates itself is reduced due to the action of chemical processes in the battery. All this results in the battery losing capacity and increasing internal resistance, in good condition its value is measured in fractions of an ohm. With increased internal resistance, the battery after charging can hold a voltage over 12V, as the author shows immediately after charging, which is incorrect, every flooded battery should be measured and tested only after 1 or 2 days, when the electrolyte stabilizes. Also absent in the video is the current load test, which will show the actual condition of the battery as well as measuring its voltage without load. Reviving a worn-out battery is theoretically possible, but in practice only for a short time and only as an emergency solution, in which case the most worn-out cell may remain short-circuited after reviving, i.e. it will discharge the other revived cells.

After second rinse, friends drop battery flat onto rubber floor mat (with fluid in cells an caps on) from about 4" from rubber mat. They drop battery onto floor rubber mat about 5 times. Then they drop battery onto its front an back sides from resting in floor, 5 times each side. without lifting battery off floor mat. (While battery is on rubber floor mat, they just tip hattery into its bottom edge rhen ket battery drop to floor mat. Without lifting battery off mat. Then pick battery up until balanced on bottom edge, then drop again.
