Hair looks great. So easy to do. I remember sleeping in rollers with my long hair. I rolled them half way up so they layed up on my pillow. What a pain that was. Thank god for the sponge rollers.

I worked in 2 different salons after I retired early. I was shocked to hear that you should go as long between washes as you can. The stylists said that water was not good for color and scalp. Two years ago I stopped coloring my curly hair. My hair is definitely not as dry and I don’t have to get it colored every 4 weeks. It’s easy to take care of too!

@@kathycentofanti779 I was surprised myself, but these were excellent stylists. I wash my hair every other day, even though they think it’s bad. I would say that people who have oily hair need to wash daily, and people with dry hair should wash no more than every other day.

I've been using similar clips to these for the last few years, but mine are just cheap "roller clips" I found on Amazon. They're a bit pokey at the ends and yours look soooo much nicer quality. I may get some to see if there's a difference. Thanks for sharing!

I bet yours work great! These are not pokey and I do love them! When my hair is super wet and I start diffusing upside down, they sometimes slip right out! 😳 Otherwise they are pretty awesome. And much like your clips, pretty easy to take out without causing frizz.

Hello! Thank you for your comment. Since making that video I have changed the way I use those clips, but I still use them every time I do my hair. Now I don’t put them in until after I have diffused my hair about 80% dry and then I put the clips in and let it air dry for 30 minutes or so. I love them.

I want to know more about the aerogel hairspray. I’ve tried hairspray from other curly hair brands, but it makes my hair feel “dirty”. I feel like I have to wash more often if I use the hairspray. Do you feel like the aerogel makes your hair feel dirty quicker?

Hi! Thank you for your comment. I love this hairspray and have used it for over 20 years. It is a medium hold that does not build up on the hair. You can use it for curly or straight styles. But with curly hair, it is everything. Shake the can, spray it on the hair, and scrunch it in. It helps define the curls, it is amazing! They sell it in a trial size can that is 3 ounces. Try one of those.

Hi! Welcome to your curl journey! The more you do this, the better you will get, and the prettier your curls will be. I started out using a double prong clip, like what you would use to clip plastic rollers in your hair. The bad thing about them is they fall and you have to keep adjusting them to hold your hair up. But it’s a good place to start. If you do those, you put them in your hair when it’s wet. Some of my earlier curl tutorials show me using these clips. I love Bounce Curls Volume Clips, they are easy and they do a great job. And you probably only need one set.
