I wish I had known you were in Dallas. I have spoken with your office several times about referrals here. I have had 3 Newas and I loved them. My problem has been the warranty. It is for one year and in the first week after one year 2 devices quit working. I called the company and the response was no warranty. The third came and wouldn’t charge. I didn’t receive the package until after 30 days and I paid for the plus and I received the older model. Since I bought it from Amazon I didn’t qualify for a refund. I would love to have another but for the price I want it for more than one year. I’m using another RF device and it is ok but not as effective on my skin as the Newa was. It is 2 yrs old and NO PROBLEMS! I watch all of your videos and I’m sorry for me that your practice is closed. I’m happy for you, however! You work so hard and I love your athletic schedule as well. Been using NEW Plus (wireless version) for 7 mos. 3x/mo & I think it’s keeping my wrinkles in check. Also has helped some with skin laxity under chin & jowls. You’re right about the Cinderella effect…it IS addicting! lol. After listening to this, plan to also start using on my neck, glabella, forehead (few minutes only), décolleté & upper arms for crepeyness. Only complaint is after 7 mos. use now have to keep it on charger 24/7 b/f taking it off to ensure a 24 min. treatment can complete. Dr Raj, still afraid of microneedling & growth factors b/c heard you say patients upset when needles get lost in their skin. And also not enough research to convince me growth factors are safe. A well known leading scientist based dermatologist I follow does not recommend microneedling or growth factors. 😂 Thank you for this great vid on the NEWA RF!

If the gel is too expensive, you can use aloe gel but if you don’t mind spending a bit of money, this gel is beautiful ,it’s called Le Mieux O2 calming gel and to make it stretch a little further. You can get a little spray bottle of water and spray your face with it if the gets a little dry while you’re using your device.

If you're prone to facial fat loss, I wouldn't go anywhere near RF. My home RF device eviscerated my facial fat and aged me 10 years. Some people have amazing results with RF, but it is a gamble. One I lost.

Hi Dr R,This looks like a good home device.What do think of the Dermaward Pro, very popular here in Australia.Based on muscle relaxation vis current ,ozone and if you do use it regularly,results can be seen,tight jaw muscles relax, and you have a massage effect from moving the device in a smale circular and upward strokes, Gau Sha like ,is that how you spell it. It has RF, LED light, ultrasound, and biomechanical vibration. In the booklet it comes with, the description of each and what they're used for seems a bit too vague to me. I have not seen this happen but I m sure anything is possible but definitely not something we personally have seen. Broken capillaries occur also naturally with age so one would need a study to fully know

I trained on the Endymed 3D device at a workshop 6 years ago. Very painful but very good after only one treatment. Way better than 2x Vivace treatments (that didn’t hurt even at the highest setting). I have this Newa at home that I should start using under my eyes. I have acPRO RF only device at the office. Will heat at 58degrees on the tummy actually kill off the fat - how long would you keep it there at that temp (moving of course).

I've seen a few comments from people saying this precise device melted their fat pad. Also I don't understand the logic behind it. If it can help contour the face, why wouldn't it melt fat pads too? I'm specifically looking to use it on smile lines. Another thing that makes me a bit skeptical is why you would promote this and risk losing your in-practice clients. And then thirdly, someone once asked in a comment on another derm video something that made me think: if collagen needs 4 weeks to break down, is it really that good to work on boosting it everyday with these devices? Sorry, lots of question but I'm terrified about it melting my face. It's not enough for me to hear that "it is safe", I wanna know why it is safe. When you pointed that it doesn't go as deep as in practice treatment, to me that doesn't sound like something positive, is it? Or is that precisely the reason why it won't melt your fat pad?

The manufacturer of my device also insists that it can't get hot enough or reach deep enough to damage the fat layer, but it destroyed my facial fat in under 2 weeks of using the device exactly as recommended. I was not using other modalities/treatments at the time, there is no other explanation for my experience. When I notified the manufacturer of this, they outright stated it was not possible. I provided them with clear evidence that their device did profound damage to my facial fat, and they denied it and continue to tell consumers that their device doesn't cause fat loss. To me this is an unconscionable level of negligence. Plenty of people have great results with RF, too, but the risk is 100% there, and can be devastating if you're on the losing end of it. Knowing how much people trust him, I hope Dr. Rajani is right and the Newa won't harm his patients. But after what I've been through, I don't think there is any RF technology that I would trust.
