Nah IIRC the creator DID confirm that both Peter (YB) and Sarah (YG) are aware that they're in a game/not real. also I think they said that originally it was supposed to be only the two of em, but later they decided that every character in the game is aware that they're not real - they just don't care enough to do anything about it. Though YB and YG are the only ones who would go off-script. But don't quote me on that, I'm going off of my memory right now.

Theory: The reason why he doesn't like his name is because his name is literally "The Stranger". He hates being referred to as that. He's kind of self-aware that this Is a game where you are given full control, which is why he suddenly changes egos when you give him the same name as yourself. It's weird how he knows your name when you've never given him it, right? What's even weirder is how he reacts when things don't go his way. The game is named " Your Boyfriend" which is why he tells you from the start that he's supposed to be your significant other. He assumed that you were supposed to know from the get-go. So when things don't turn out his way he gets upset and shows his true colors because you didn't play it right. And the reason he got mad when you gave him an uncreative name is that (I'm using context clues here stick with me-) in a way, he doesn't *want* to be there. He doesn't *want* to be your boyfriend, or play this game at all. (Context clue: "seriously, I'm losing interest in you every millisecond." People who are forced and stuck with other people that they don't want to be with usually would react in this way. Imagine you're in this group project with people that you hate, and everything they do or say disappoints and upsets you more and more. Most would react in a similar way to this).

That a good theory but (YB)peter truely loves us but he knows that he can't be with us ... because he knows he is in a game... and fun fact : when you give him the same name as you he wasn't suppose to react like that ( the creator want to change that because they didn't know about this and because this reaction that Peter has because it's out of his character ) and if Peter doesn't like this name is because the creator use it and technically he doesn't have a name but the creator use "Peter" for him but he hates Fuboo ( Creator ) because it's her faulf if she creates him but can't be with us ( player or Y/N )
