In fact, I flat-out *miss* the times when the recording industry would allow artists to make grunge and post-grunge, and when mainstream radio would allow new grunge songs to be played. The last few minutes of this video are so real, honestly. I'm one of those people who used to just scroll, sleep. Rinse and repeat. And I'll tell you it was depressing and monotonous. It felt like I was living in gray-scale and everything was moving so quickly while i was just... Stuck there. It took a minute to realize that I wasn't stuck, that I did have purpose. And once I realized that, it was technicolor again. I moved with the motions now and I got to feel and experience the things around me. I just wanted to say that if you feel stuck, you're not. Whatever hole you find yourself in, you will get out of it. Like Louis said, you should have something to look forward to inorder to *live*. Even if its the smallest thing in the world like picking flowers if petting your cat, at least your looking forward to it. Your looking *forward*. Not watching it pass by. You're living. I have noticed that my attention span has lengthened, I'm more focused on completing tasks without being distracted, and having the need to go on my phone. When I talk to my friends and they talk about what's happening on that platform, I have no clue and they joke that I live under a rock (don't worry I laugh too). But it has come to a point that I notice my friends, who pretty much spend a majority of their day on social media, they're kinda hard to reach or hard to keep them engaged in the conversation. Fortunately, they know it's a problem and they've been getting better at finding other activities to do.

I can relate to the feeling of feeling stuck, or just watching time pass by. Over the past few years I’ve felt like I’ve just been deteriorating, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Especially knowing that where I’m at right now, being who I want to be won’t be possible for a while- that only drives me more insane. Knowing that everyone around me doesn’t actually see me, or might not be accepting of it is absolutely crushing. Currently I think the only thing I’m fighting for is my future, hoping I will one day be able to transition openly and let other people see me for me, even if the wait will be long and hard. Even if the days are just slowly inching by, i always try to have something to live for- small pleasantries like spending time outdoors, or seeing friends just make the journey a bit more bearable.

I love these videos and the drawing compliments are like an extra reward at the end. But in the end he said something important without realizing it "-Maybe it's just me but surely there are more people out there like that." That statement of loneliness is really what allows this massive shift in language to happen. Goals are meaningless without any kind of praise or reaction to tell you it's done and you did good or you need to improve. A wise man once said that you're never done. You just run out of time. In a world were time has become rather meaningless, the goal has no end and if your very clear where the end date is and you find it and you're done... well, now it's more of a task or order with no one to talk to about it. There's no one to properly proof-read our life and work so even when you do something great, who cares? There's no where to properly share and get options other than the internet. Hell! Even you are doing it! Writing long scripts, sending them to the internet, second guessing and hoping for feed back. Praise, hate, like, dislike, subscribe, comment, just anything... anything to make the time spent worth it. (It was worth it. The video was amazing!) Humans are social and we go insane without it. This "brain rot" is just a living breathing example of what happens without anyone to bounce off of and learn from. The internet is not a babysitter. The internet is not a teacher. The internet is a video log of moments in peoples life. There is good. There is bad. And then there's the down right traumatizing. As a gen Z, growing up on and with the internet is like leaving your kid at prison. Some people are nice and will soften up since your clearly a dumb baby but others see it as a grand opportunity to introduce small kids to gore and corn. This is not a place for a kid. At best this is a place for a 16 year old or older. Even KZbin kids. Everyone knows weird stuff happens there.

This video is really great! Its a reminder that we dont have to just mindlessly consume media to pretend like we are doing something. Coming from someone who struggles to actually get stuff done and pretends they have when in fact they are just scrolling endlessly on youtube, the times where I do get things done, it feels good. I dont think people will ever really get that when you set your phone down and really experience the world around you, it genuinly makes you feel so much better about yourself. Now, I know some people are also in similarly bad situation where they feel like they have to constantly be on their phone because that world around them is so extremely stressful, whether that be home life, family, work, or other factors. It sucks that people feel like its their only option. I dont wish that on anyone and I hope that those who arent in those situations or get out of them do decide to get away from being sucked into social media, it really makes you feel better in every way. Social media is such a big cause for depression so hopefully we can push for decreased use, the younger gens shouldnt grow up suffering like this. Also, thank you so much for saying at the end everytime, the reminder to clean dishes and my room really helps motivate me and alot of others too I can imagine! It makes me feel like I really can do it.

I still need to find what motivates me, and what I can look forward to, and you bring up a lot of good points. also, congrats on 100k! It's amazing that more people are finally finding your content.

16:18 About that, the only thing I have to really work for is my art. Storytelling, animation, and just general drawings. I want my art to really speak out to people, and tell them that they're not alone. I want everyone to know that they matter. I like to make my work about thing I, and lther people can relate too. Like childhood things, mental health, and just general relatable things we all go through. To anyone reading this (including you Louis, you're awesome) YOU mattter, there are people who love you. You're not alone

sure taylor is extremely popular, but the fact that people still listen to nirvana’s music decades after kurt’s passing just tells you how influential he is. he wasn’t just an artist, he influenced the way people dressed, popularised and pioneered a whole new genre, and inspired people to create music of their own (a lot of other grunge bands were inspired by him). i’m not dissing taylor, and there isn’t anything wrong with enjoying her music, however popularity and influence are different things

That last monolog made me almost cry. (Good way) Fight for something. Even if that something is eating a nutritious breakfast. Plate it nice, have 2 courses, 1 of protein and one of fruit. Sit outside and enjoy the morning while you eat. Little things. Because you CAN and so you SHOULD. (Ive been fighting to regain my health. That is my goal. Ive been very sick for a long while but have been fighting my way back to health. My meals are my battle grounds and i refuse to not try. Humans need goals. Need something to fight against, not in a violent way, but in a way that, when finished, either results in victory and/or a lesson. Dont let brain rot win. Fight for self improvement, even if it starts with just having a good meal

I love you videos, it's mostly because you say what many of us think but don't have the courage to say. I really love how you unapologetically spill the truth and don't care how others react. Thank you for that! I swear you're the only person who actually has the courage to say what needs to be said to stop us from devolving and becoming a suuuuper dumb and useless species. Thanks again

I never realized that we NEED something to work for, to fight for, etc. I took a gap year, i graduated in 2023, worked at an elementary school for the next school year, and this fall i will be going to college! But I felt so LOST being out of school! I had no marching band, which means I didn't have the goal of improving my color guard skills, and having a better show each time we performed. I still had winter percussion, which DEFINITELY helped me, but then I had nothing again! Putting what you said in perspective of my life is so interesting, because its never something I even thought about! I thought I was just bored. Loved this video so much 💚

i got into music because of courtney love (kurt's wife, though hey she is her own person and she does make her own music), i started playing guitar because of her. i started writing lyrics about some of the things thats happened to me, because she and kurt gave me the confidence to go "oh, yeah, i guess music IS a safe thing for me." music can be such an outlet for people. music isn't supposed to just be all dancey, music should have emotion. music should be raw and unfiltered. music should be messy and fucked up. when i first started listening to hole, i was awestruck. because how could somebody else go through so many of the things i have gone through and still have enough confidence to put herself out there? i started a band earlier this year with my boyfriend and best friend. the first song we're covering is violet by hole
