Many of us don’t get to experience true love without experiencing hurt and heartbreak. Breaking up is hard, but a broken heart today is better than a broken marriage in the future. In this message, we learn when you should break up and how to heal when your breakup breaks you. __
Everyone is looking for their "perfect match," but does that really exist? Finding the perfect person may not be reality, yet there are certain qualities that we should be looking for if we want a healthy marriage. In this series, we discuss love and dating with the intention that you would not only find your match but know your maker.

I was the toxic one. She's gone. Now I'm with God. It took me losing the best woman I ever had to come to Jesus. It hurts but I'm glad to be with the Lord.

@Juan Hernandez I hurt mine out of selfishness. 4 years gone and now she's married with a baby from another man. But i found God in my pain, listen to lots of worship, He listens. Prince of peace by hillsong was my go to when the pain from the memories got too painful to handle. Reach out to friends and don't be alone long. God loves you. ❤️

least your taking accountability. my toxic ex was very controlling and selfish. I was discarded and heartbroken. I was thrown out like trashed but I was told I was the best thing that ever happened to her. i went no contact for over a year and now i’m ready to move on. I will never take her back if she ever reached out.

You're not alone brother, she ended it 6 days ago. I was the toxic one too, i didn't think i was but now im starting to connect all the dots she was giving me. Brother pour your heart into the Lord, he will heal you, and her. I pray that our exes are feeling a sense of peace and freedom, and that the Lord puts forgiveness on their hearts, so they aren't carrying hate or resentment with them. Lord put it on our hearts to forgive ourselves, and ultimately that you forgive us too. Remind us that as we continue in the steps you have laid out for us that we will be healed, and that you have a path and a plan for us. Help us realize that this relationship was brought to us by you for a reason, wether it was to help us realize our shortcomings and grow from them, or if it was to teach us to Love more selflessly, or if it was to be broken enough to turn to you father. Guide our steps, remind us and remind the ones that we had the privilege to love that when we turn to you everything will fall in accordance to your plan.

Relationships shouldn’t look like pulling someone, but pushing each other: “..respecting, honoring, and growing together toward Christ.” So good!

Just got out of a 3 year relationship a few months ago and it’s hard. I became a disciple during our last year together and it was difficult for me to stay pure. As much as I wanted her to become a disciple, her heart was never in it. I wasn’t the best boyfriend and have many faults, but I’m learning everyday from them and what it means to be a man of God. I look back at that relationship and see how worldly it was. There was nothing godly about it. In 1 Tim 5:2, it calls men to treat younger women as we would our own sisters. I would love to have a significant other that loves God more than me. Dating with purity is something I’ve never experienced before, but I could only imagine how awesome it would be honoring God. To all going through difficult times, keep your head up because God has called us to be his children. We have all we need in Him. Everything else is a blessing. Trust in Him that he has a plan for you. Follow His will and not your own and you will be fine.

Everything about this is on point! Currently going thru a breakup, I was the one that left because he exactly the type of guy JD described to leave. It was the hardest decision and it still hurts, but I'm leaning so heavily on the Lord during this hard season. I know healing will come and He will bring me the right Godly man to love me like I deserve. Thank you so much for this message, I needed it!

Me too 🤷‍♀️. It hurts, but I know and do time with the Lord‘s help it will get better. Especially if I focus on building my relationship with him, versus trying to jump into another relationship to bandage the loneliness. Much luv 💯

I was that guy who was going back to my old sinful ways and she rightfully broke up with me. Now, I am broken and turning back to Jesus. In what's feels like unbearable pain. The only hope I have is in Jesus. Praying he takes this pain from me.

How long did it take you to turn to Jesus?
@MapleBar777
@MapleBar777 2 жыл бұрын
@@brisamartinez1 A couple months. So, pretty much shortly before I wrote that comment. It wasn't so much about time as it was about me discovering she was already in bed with someone else. It's been an eye opening, shocking, heartbreaking, and confusing experience. My assessment of it has completely changed since my original comment. She was a wolf in sheeps clothing and I was struggling with sin but being open and honest. When I made that comment I was in the throes of guilt and regret due to her condemnation and blaming me for the failure of the relationship. Since then my eyes have been opened to what really happened. My world turned upside down.

Don't worry so much about a romantic relationship Invest in your friendships they are usually longer lasting After you have been married for awhile the relationship usually cools anyways Alot of wasted time and energy for not alot of return 😊

@@abiutomwen1601 , For me, A LOT of prayer and crying out to God. I promised that I WOULD NOT contact him at all either after the breakup !! That was hard too!! I was passionate about the Lord and church, and my ex of 4 months wasnt. He said he didnt want to go to church every sunday like me. It was really painful cause he was a nice person, just not living as a Jesus follower. Keep praying, reading scriptures on comfort from God, and watching christian youtube videos on the subject too. Its been 4 weeks later and its better. I dont cry half as much. But we MUST obey God first!!

I was in a first marriage where we were not equally yoked in Christ. That was more PAINFUL than a broken heart. So, be encouraged. God's love is better than any man or woman. He loves us passionately!!!!

Thank you for this 😪💔 What I needed to hear. The word Reset was given to me even before the breakup. What took you to Dallas and how did you know it was where you needed to be? Did the breakup influence that move, Did God speak his direction to move once the breakup happened? Seeking clarity on what my next steps are and how to know if where I'm at is where I need to be. Thank you for sharing and for this video

I am struggling because the person I am about to breakup with is someone I truly love. He is a man of God and nothing is wrong with him. I simply don’t think we see eye to eye on other important matters and I believe it would cause unrest in the future. I am also going off to college. It has been weighing on me, and it is so hard to breakup in this situation especially when he forgives and loves unconditionally….
