Every time you described CAGED I understand it better. I work on CAGED following your videos every day in addition to the things in your courses. I love that it’s a lot coming at me. Please don’t let some douche stop the great and inspiring things you are sharing!

Thanks a bunch! I will not let that stop me. But it is annoying!

F shape(triad) lives inside the E shape. D shape(triad) lives inside the C shape. A shape(triad) lives inside the G shape. Figuring that out helped me seeing the fretboard much better. Great lesson, Guthrie! Thank you!

GT!!! I asked about the B and F and minor chords in another video a couple days ago or so. Thanks for addressing in this video. What you’re doing is selfless and truly appreciate it. The haters are asshats who will never get out beyond their bedrooms. You are an assassin on the 6 string and certainly don’t have to take time to do these videos but you do. Paying it forward a little I guess. Keep killing it. Thanks again.

All good here. No complaints from me. Mel Bay taught these inversions in his books back in the 60s. Still have my textbooks. As valid now as ever, whether you call them inversions or caged shapes. Guthrie, you're the Best!

Thank you Guthrie, you have always been consistent explaining triads and the information surrounding them. You have helped me tremendously. Much appreciated. I still struggle with correct hand position moving from the shapes up the neck due to bad habits I picked up over the years, trying to take shortcuts!

Oh my Mr. GT, ....really?!... "you are no Joe Pass", well for sure that person isn't!. For what its worth to all our fellow GT fans, this stuff really, really works. As you say, its not a "system", its just a mnemonic that, if we will learn it, becomes the road signs of how to move the triads/inversions up the neck. So, i for one totally support your enthusiastic support of this approach. So very grateful for you and how you share your professional life with us.

I love the CAGED content GT! I've been on the grind learning it thanks to you. It's coming together with the related triads and pentatonic shapes. I'm starting to see it. My struggle right now is soloing over changes. My brain is not fast enough yet to shift my perspective with each chord. I know it will come. Loving the grind.

its confusing to me how the G and A seem like the same shape, D and C seem like the same shape, i guess different sides of the same shape, idk
@joshellyson3 сағат бұрын
@@youtuberino7859 hi, yes they can look the same, but if you look where the root note is in the shape, you will see how they are different, hope that helps.

I’ll see it for you, he’s not very talented. His success was created. You can hear better singers in artist than Post Malone and any karaoke bar any night of the week. It’s astonishing what people think is good these days. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but he’s just not talented.
