I'm not a guy, however I don't know how to cook, and I've absolutely PERFECTED the restaurant-style fancy grilled cheese. Basically, get some sourdough bread (make sure it's cut fairly thick), and on the OUTSIDE of your grilled cheese, put some mayonaise (MAKE SURE TO PUT A GOOD AMOUNT BUT NOT ENOUGH THAT ITS SOGGY. THIS MAY TAKE SOME EXPERIMENTATION TO PERFECT) and some ketchup (not too much, or it'll cook too quickly). Then, on the inside, one layer of shredded mozzarella, and then one layer of a sharp cheddar of your choosing. Finally, cook as normal. Make sure to try and get both sides golden. It's better to flip it frequently than burn it, and don't squish it too much. A good test is to stab the bread with a fork. If it makes a crinkling noise, you've got it perfect.

Kwite, the easiest way to get into cooking is starting with seasoned boxed rice and adding sausage and veggies (i like Jumbalya mix, polska keilbalsa, bell pepper, onion, and garlic) you can start with the basics and experiment from there
