I disagree with the nostalgic being the main reason because I started playing in 2019 with no experience to original Wow up until 2019 and after TBC,Wrath and now Cata I can whole heartily say Classic Wow is just a better version of the game.

Strongly disagree. Classic leveling is better but the one button rotations and non-viable specs are bad. As someone that has played since 2005 and enjoys multiple versions and expansions...retail is 100x better.

@@daltonnelson94 I think Classic is better than Retail, tho retail have better dungeons and raids. I’ve spent a lot of time playing retail-raiding, pushing Mythic+, and even reaching one of the highest item levels on my server. Despite all that, retail feels like a theme park. It gets boring quickly. The lack of community is a major downside; unless you’re lucky enough to have good friends in a guild, there’s little sense of connection. In contrast, Classic forces you to socialize, and the open-world experience is infinitely more engaging. I also prefer the battlegrounds and open-world PvP in Classic-it’s far more exciting and immersive compared to retail. I do enjoy Mythic+ and raiding, but running the same dungeons over and over gets repetitive fast. That said, while Classic can also get stale after completing a raid once or twice, at least the journey to that point is genuinely enjoyable-something I just don’t feel with retail.

Classic wow has proven with actual data 📈 that the majority of players prefer a causal friendly version of the game over complexity. And for the third time it will prove it self once again being dominant on what customers want.

I have played on and off ever since vanilla back in 2004. I havent maxed a character out until wotlk classic, always ran shaman and never ran a raid. I still had a blast questing, getting good gear from quest rewards, running dungeons, leveling professions and trying different classes. Sweating and getting to endgame is the end all be all for classic. Ill be there thursday taking my time and enjoying the game. See you all there.

Want a breaking story? Blizz quietly removed paid transfers from places like Whitemane to Grobb or Mankrik, while leaving in place free transfers off of Grobb to WM. There’s a blue post on the classic era forums. Very few know about this yet.

Huh. I normally would try doing hardcore for the added challenge, but I’ve died enough times to lag & factors outside my control to make me stop wanting to invest time in that mode again. Maybe I’ll give fresh classic a go - I honestly love the inter personal connections that were made while playing. Hardcore gave me some of that closeness, but at a far too unpleasant cost.

I saw a video yesterday of a guy playing hardcore trying forever to get a rare drop and when he finally got it all his hard work paid off, he and only a few others own that weapon. No, when you go to realms there should be an "anniversary" tab with a normal, pvp and hardcore normal option. Normal and pvp will lead to tbc. The hardcore... to pain and sadness...

Sad that we're not getting classic era fresh. Changes are fine but it's just a bit sad that we can't compare our old runs with the ones on the "fresh" servers. Also it would be nice to know if we will be able to copy our characters over to era or if they are locked into progressing into TBC... p.s. There will surely be more changes incoming. As soon as they show that they are willing to make changes more people start asking for more changes which just escalates even further
