I never actually thought about air fresheners being toxic or allergens for dogs. Good to know.

It's not something I gave much thought to either until I started hearing about dogs that died because their owners used Tea Tree Oil. That's why I dug a little deeper.

Now I get why my dog starts sneezing whenever we light gardenia candles.

I had a poodle as a child that sneezed whenever my mother sprayed bergamot. Turns out that's another toxic plant for dogs. We just learned to stop using anything that made us or the dogs sneeze or cough. Personally, I do not wear many perfumes because most of them make me sneeze.

It seems everything can kill us or our dogs these days. Toxic air products, microplastics, herbicides killing bees, air quality, and the list goes on. We need to just go back to unprocessed food and getting used to smelling unpleasant things.

I think returning to less processed foods and glass containers would help cut down on health issues.

My mother used a mistletoe air spray that sent our dog into respiratory shutdown when I was a kid. She stuck with lemon Lysol after that
