Are the chassis legs "high strength steel"? is it ok to weld that? Have you ever done the full length legs so you don't need to join to the old legs? you say it takes many many more hours to do that but sometimes you would have to do it because of rust and wouldn't it be a more thorough job?

When you removed the chassis legs...did you coat inside of it then put it back? Or how do you go about inside the legs.
