I think skins are eay to fix cerate a token for different values of skins if product you bought skin for gets out of standart then you get your token back to spend on something else. You won't get it back untill its rotates out so becareful because if it comes back next year and new skin doesn't rotate out then that mean you can't access your old skin anymore either

Me a dead Nautilus main and trying to make unique deck because i just love nautilus and kinda sea monsters but its just hard to build Combination with other heroes so trying to build solo nautilus with other legions other than shadow isles but can't find it so i get bored in game and delete it and download it again and again so i can build my own nautilus deck: huh what you guys talking about? 🧐

Removed? I'd rather see Sion/Jinx or some discard card rotated first. Card draw is... Overpowered in simply more than TF. I kinda liked how he was a bit of a gatekeeper in this regard. I guess we'll see? I love the champs rn personally. Fiora, Draven, so many classics. I don't think Darius needs to exist? At least not in his current state. Neither does Yuumi. But I'd love to see them return or be rebalanced. Illaoi I can see them rotating and it in general being a healthy thing for the game (remove champ-associated cards? How do you justify cards like Eye of Nagakaborous for example staying meta after a champ leaves?)

Because it's not Kayn that's broken. It's Vayne. That's like saying the Demacia scout barrier follower is OP when in fact it was launch version Kai'sa that was the problem.

@@iatwiatw of course, but the second champion is still Kayn. so he is the best champion for this archetype to support (mostly) backline Vayne, better than all the other on attack benefactors including demacia champs like Quinn (as an example). people could have gone 3 Vayne 2 Quinn 1 Kayn, if Kayn was only in there for the cultist region but they are not

@@goldenrevolver4460 quinn goes wide, and I don't think this deck goes wide enough for her. Kayn gives you the free draw, the interaction, the cultist cards, all to carry vayne. Have you seen that deck when they don't draw vayne? the winrate drops like crazy when you don't draw her, even memes decks can beat it

I would be all for Rotation where the cards are actually coming back. So not the last X years/expansions but specific list of X cards should be playable. It should contain all newer cards and a variaty of old ones.

yeah they say the cards will change every time they rotate but keep the same amount. maybe during one rotation Irelia will be back, but Azir is gona be gone per example since the two have the same niche we dont need the 2 at the same time

Yeah. They've been reworking champions with every patch and having an entire re-release of a champion would be a really cool addition to an expansion. I'd be fine if it was temporary, but having them gone more than 2 seasons (or forever) would be kind of annoying.

Gangplank is my favourite champion in LoR and in general for league related stuff, but I hope he gets rotated and remade into a new form. I mean they got that snazzy new Gangplank the Betrayer skin they can use for his base, and him dying to come back is kinda thematic for him at this point.

Knowing Riot policy, they will just straight up *remove* some cards and release their ,,reworked" versions, just like in league, so you better play your favorite cards while you can, because some will be gone forever.

I think it would be fair if Riot would give something like a wildcard skin token if the champion you bought a skin for gets rotated. So then you can apply it to any skin for any champion with the same cost until the previous champ is back. Also + respect for Undertale music

I remember a video from Khodok talking about card game mechanics and 'sins', and specifically about rotation how it does serve a purpose for rotating out toxic mechanics and giving the devs leeway to experiment and make things better. The only counterpoint about rotating that I remember was that a banlist would already fix this and that it could be seen as an excuse to sell more product... The difference is that LoR is a digital card game, and cards could be reworked, which they have done to various degrees of success, and the second part is that LoR is such a generous card game that I don't really see rotation as a problem. Now, I have to say that my perspective is one from someone who had been playing the game nearly non-stop since beta and I have the full collection + spare to complete at least a couple expansions more. That is not a fair representation for people who aren't on my situation or that are thinking about jumping into the game before rotation comes out. In my opinion, they should establish a safety net for people jumping into the game close to rotation so they can experience the game, but refund them some shards when rotation comes out so they don't feel like they just spent a bunch of resources for a bunch of cards that are pretty much going to be useless soon after.

The partial refund suggestion is a great idea, and one that should apply to cosmetics for rotated champs. Or maybe you could get a token that can let you swap one skin for another skin, one card back for another card back, etc.

I like the idea of reworking champions. Card games like mtg release legendries multiple times that are the same character but sometimes with a different themes and even with different color identities. Might be neat to see champions get reworked and maybe even have their themes changed. It is sad to compare champions like vlad to sera :( give the blood-boy a new design.

On the pyke topic, I think we just need more variety of lurk cards in other regions. I had an idea about a piltover&zaun lurk card called the sewer monster that gave rally everytime you discard like 2 cards per round or when you don't have any cards on hand. The same goes with deep cards

I always hope for Ionian ninjas to be the new lurk. Possibly with akali and returning to hand or deck so you can synergy with her KDA spell and with attacking again (especially if you could trigger lurk again) so she and Pyke could be a thing.

I think you explained it all very well. Overall rotation is a matter that I’m very hesitant with, it sounds like a concept that could easily be screwed up and make things a lot worse, but your reasoning for why it’s necessary is very solid. In the end, I can only hope Riot does it justice, but overall I think it’ll benefit the game.

What I would also like to see is changing the identity of a region to better go along with the theme of the year. Just like HS changes the core set nowadays. I am tired of the pink region bouncing back my units (deny and nopeify are fine) and probably shift it from being a combo region (getting kicked in the face hurts).

One thing i've been wondering. Many card games with set rotation only have 2 formats. "Standard" and "Everything goes". It could also be fun to see the potential of a rotating mini-format. Like a weekly challenge containing only a few champions and their associated cards at a time. Almost similar to the free champ rotation in League. This could be a fun little way to force people out of the box. Give us quinn without mf for example. See what people can come up with in a heavily limited cardpool. Will this be balanced? Probably not, but it might be a fun side-format.

Hello Snnuy, really nice video as usual, it's obvious you put a lot of efforts into it So yeah I'll let you know what I think about rotation and I'm not a big fan of it. My main goal in LoR is to make stupid decks that work and to pair every champion with another one as long as it's not an obvious combo. So if you rotate some champions (yup even Irelia) a lot of fun concepts I put a lot of efforts and tries to finally make them viable in ranked were just in vain. I feel like this one student being punished because the class was messing up. In a perfect world for me, before launching a queue, you could choose up to three cards you don't want to face (a bit like a ban selection) and be this way sure your opponent won't have any copy of it in his deck. Imagine a world without deny, feel the rush or ezreal...

I wanted to return to LoR after taking a break of it to play Master Duel. So I updated the game, open it, saw tons of new stuff, got excited to upgrade my old decks, then I saw they added rotation... sure I could still play in the Eternal mode... but it doesn't feel right, is not even a separate ladder, that's like creating a duel room in Master Duel with the ban list off... so I closed the game, and sadly probably will never play it again. The worst part about it is that as far as I understand: -you can't dust your old cards to craft newer ones -there were no new levels added to level up regions. -the weekly vault can still drop rotated cards... all in all, the first impression I get from rotation is to get players to buy the wild cards and structure decks. If it is for balancing purposes, then maybe Riot should start adding restrictions to cards, and creating less generic cards.

The most fun I had in Runeterra was when it first came out and I had no idea you could view cards you didn't own at least 1 copy of already. I knew you could buy additional copies of a card you'd already got in a chest, but didn't know you could buy a first copy without randomly finding it first. It may sound annoying to some of you but back then there wasn't much of a meta so it was actually really fun because every chest would potentially have brand new cards and effects that I'd never seen before. I remember when I saw snapvine for the first time and my brain exploded with all the possibilities of new decks I could build but I was so constrained by the small number of cards that I had that there was a genuine problem-solving element to deck building which was really fun! Now I look at all the cards in my collection and there's multiple cards that could fill the spot, usually with one clear meta choice - card rotations sound like they might put some artificial constraints into the game that will (counter-intuitively) allow for more creative deck building with otherwise unused cards. Sounds like a good thing to me.

I play yugioh as well as LoR and where as in ygo being no rotation, there's a banned and limited list instead which (should) get updated about every 3 months. This probably would not work for LoR but a card game can definitely stay alive despite having no rotations
