The thing I hate about most filler is you've got 22 year olds using it, looking like they're 40 year olds trying to appear 20? Does that make sense? I dunno if it's subconscious, but it really ages you.

It really does age you though! For context, I’m 40, and I’m pretty friendly with my neighbour. A few weeks ago I was having a chat with her and she mentioned her b’day was coming up. I asked her how old she was turning and she replied with a chirpy “21!”…. I actually laughed at her openly because I thought she was joking, until I saw her hurt feelings and realised she was serious. I felt terrible! She honestly looks 30, (not that that’s old at all!) I legit thought she was 10 years younger than me… not 20. I tried to backtrack but the damage was already done. Mind you, she’s pumped full of silicone, fillers and Botox it shocked me how much all that stuff had aged her!

Little experience of mine cause i hope it helps someone. I'm a mediterran woman. I'm 36 people always think I'm in my early mid 20s. Iv never had anything done. I don't have the thinnest but also not fullest lips. I been forever slightly overlining them when I feel like it. I also have a pretty long nose and an unideal side profile (those aren't made up insecurities lmao I really do have quite a long nose). I contour it when I feel like it but u cant contour lenght. One thing iv experienced all my life is ppl saying I'm an exceptional beautiful stunning woman. Success with men etc etc. I say all this not to toot my own horn but to remind ppl that ii 😂😂literally have the flaws that social media is currently obsessed with. A cute little nose and big lips and yet society doesn't perceive me as ugly. Quite the contrary. Iv faced jealousy and praise. These things shouldn't be goals in life but my whole point about this psot is that people. Real humans i the real world aren't obsessed with these minor features as much as u think. Ur face is a painting. Ur aura and the full picture is what attracts people to you. Also ur self confidence. Iv seen the prettiest young girls ov ever laid eyes on compare themselves to me and look me up n down insecurely on the train or bus. It sounds cliché but it really isn't always just about the looks. Find the style. And vibe that suits u most and underlines ur Charme. Unfollow tha influencer that make su insecure and instead follow the one tha maybe looks similar to u but u find them pretty either way

I lose respect for such men, I dont care if they have a PhD in Mathematics and are explaining the meaning of the Universe. I can't. This has become a deal breaker for me with men: emotional, raging, high pitched voice to "make a point", yelling of any type...It's a NO in business, friendships, dating, service provider, etc. Moreover, some men are very emotional and negatively charged and to cover it up and pretend to be calm they speak condescendingly. I think as surgery and other procedures become more accessible natural beauty will become the “status symbol” that plastic surgery once was if that makes sense. I think we’re actually headed in a direction where celebs will be even less honest about procedures because in a way when everyone can afford it it becomes kind of gauche. Of course people will continue getting procedures but I think they’ll want it to be even less detectable (ex. How super perky and large fake boobs used to be the trend and now people want a Kendall Jenner boob job)

18:08 this is such an interesting point to make. In the 90s-00s, there was a big obsession with skinniness. Models were starving themselves and doing drugs for the “heroin chic” look, leading to many young girls developing eating disorders. Now it’s the other way around, with fuller bodies and faces being trendy. The Kardashian’s and other celebrities started with BBLs, lip fillers, etc, then everyone else followed, leading to young girls risking their lives to have these surgeries. The cycle of women killing themselves while trying to achieve the beauty standard will just continue

@@ChrisJack1212 no actually it’s worse than what you say lol my face is duplicated onto another human more so than a daughter and mother. If you have plastic surgery it’s because you didn’t like something on your own face and your kid has nothing to do with your face, and when they are old enough they will have their own opinions on how they look and opinions on plastic surgery and if you are a good parent you will focus on making them feel loved and accepted despite how you feel about yourself and your own looks. I my not have given birth to my twin but I’ve spent my whole life being a duo and if she got something done, I wouldn’t take it personally nor would I call into question the feature she changed on my own face. That’s her face. She likes her nose I hate mine. We have the same nose. My opinion does not drag down her opinion of her nose. The kid will feel the way they feel about their looks, because everyone does develop their own personal preferences.

Of course, your twin could care less. As a parent, some of your offspring get your features, i.e. the same nose. The parent got surgery one the nose. The child inherited this nose and might feel insecure about it since it realised the parent went under the knife to "fix" theirs. How would the parent explain to the child that their nose is totally fine when they went to extreme measures to get it changed?

When filler first came out, they were telling my sister that it’ll be dissolved within six months to a year. Years later, she came and said I still have filler. I can feel it in my lips. They were gaslighting her telling her it’s not true. They didn’t know enough about this stuff to be injecting it into peoples faces! Psychotherapy does not mean getting medicated. That’s what psychiatrists do. And talking is the only way to face the emotional issues. Doing cosmetic surgery is just treating a symptom…temporarily. The symptoms migrate because the underlying psychological issues (feeling unworthy, unlovable etc.) is not adressed.

I agree, the best injectors are using small quantities and want their clients to represent their work. They know when to tell you to STOP. I have had about 4 cc’s injected all over my face in a period of 2 years. I got it to help balance my face and help with symmetry. I’m very happy with my results and know it will probably be in my face for years. I don’t need to go back every 6 months as many practitioners have talked their patients into thinking they need to do in order to keep their results.

I’ve always known this stuff about filler- how it obviously stretches the skin, not only by balloon effect but also increased weight means a greater pull of gravity on the skin, and all of the manipulation of the skin also stretches it. Still, I did it once stupidly because a friend was recommending it. TG I never did it again.

Also, @doctorgarylinkov I also think many, many people still don’t know the difference between ‘Botox’ and fillers. I think most people assume when some celebrity has gone too far, they attribute much of it to Botox. I do think much of the overdone faces are, yes, a result of too much filler and/or too much surgery. Botox does not ‘dramatically’ affect your appearance. It minimizes wrinkles.
