There's a lot of good info already out there that covers stuff for the game once you're off the ground and got a decent lance established, but stuff that walks you through from square one is very hand to find. As someone who picked up this game all but two days ago, thank you!

I have noticed that the PC version of the game gives you 6 fire groups, console (PS5) only has 5 fire groups. Also you have foot soldiers on PC, only vehicles appear on console (PS5).

Yeah, infantry is actually a mod from the Devs... not sure why they aren't part of the standard game.

My game seems to be much harder than yours for some reason. Takes three laser hit to destory tanks but on mine takes 13 wtf.

You need to hold the beam on target for the whole duration. If you only glance a target with it you are only doing a fraction of the total dmg the weapon is capable of.

Are you using YAML? That gives the tanks like 300% more health by default

So in a 6 point negotiation, 1 point damage coverage, 3 points salvage, 2 points c-bills?

Depends on the type of mission. If it's a Warzone, Beachhead, etc. I would probably max out my salvage points--because those missions produce a lot of scrap. If it's some kind of raid or demo mission with specific targets and less chance for producing a lot of good salvage at the end, I might split it like you suggest. Good hunting!

So salvage has a higher c-bill payout than increasing the base c-bill amount? This is a little off the topic, but I have found it easier too rip the weapon arms off of some medium mechs and a few heavy mechs than going after the legs. The only "light" mech that I use that trick on is the Urban, that AC10 or AC20 it packs will chew up your armor if your not care full.

Yes. Infantry is an "unofficial" mod/feature from the game devs-- available from steam workshop. It's the only mod I'm using for this series. Good hunting.

I just only have 60 hours in the game and i do enjoy what i see here. But i have to disagree on some points and seen some, that you did not properly explain, some so easy and fast that made my wonder if you have not figured that out yourself. for example: the number of negotiation points is your reputation level in points plus minus up to 5 points bonus or malus depending on how much your employer likes or dislikes you. so at min 48:30 you got 3 points to spent. 2 from your reputation level +1 because your employer recognized your efforts on the previous missions. Also i disagree with tip 7. Yes, most missions 1 point for damage coverage is enough in the early game. but when you get more and more tonnage in the field the repair costs drastically increase. in general rule i would say for each 100 tons you sent in you take one extra unless you are absolutely sure you wont need it. cant tell how often i regretted not taking an extra damage coverage point after a tough mission where my mechs lost an arm or leg or worse, one of your guys got cored. in midgame it really starts to pile up to a million c-bills in repair costs after a mission. When than comes the field repair costs in the conflict zone on top of that you really bleed money. 50:30 I disagree somewhat. the CN9-A is a deathtrap of a mech in this game. the CN9-AL at least trades the AC for extra armor and another laser. ACs are good. but not on light and medium mechs. the only one medium mech that is viable would be the Blackjack and only if its the players mech. AI BJ-1s tend to get their arms blown up way too easy. and the AI Centurion has the same problems as the BJ-1 they get too close or focus fired by the enemy. i lost several good pilots until i realized that the AI lancemates suck with brawlers, especially the light and medium ones. 1:10:00 Yeah on that note: shoot the AC gun where the enemy will be when the shot arrives and not where it is if you want to hit the target. i take it you were out of practise? i litterally shouted that at the screen with a few words i dont want to repeat ^^ 1:21:30 Talk about rare! thats the only one. at least i yet have to encounter another mission with one. It also needs to say that it does not repair any shot off limbs but does restock ammo. and you can only use that one time in this mission. It seems to be somewhat random what you get as the last drop of the mission. you said Vindicator and Assassin but it was actually a Griffin. i encountered a Cicada once on that mission so yeah somewhat random.
