About time someone uploaded the right instructions I purchased a high output alternator for my Toyota Sienna but I was only getting 11.86 volts at the battery with the engine on s to battery post L to 12v fuse they told me I could use my same belt but the alt was killing my new agm battery, I sent the alt back for testing ... Gracias por el Video 🙏🏽

So guys I sent the alternator back to autotech. And must say Samuel is the man. He fixed my alternator and I works perfectly. I give autotech two thumbs up. Will make more purchases from these guys very soon. Also I must mention that I talked to Samuel personally on the phone, he is very intelligent and patient. He explained all that was wrong with my unit and also asked if there was anything he could do to make things right. You will not get that service from the bigger company’s.

Why not ground the alternator to the battery negative ? Or does alternator to chassis work best. My current set up is: Alt + to batt + Alt case - to batt - Batt- to chassis - Block - to chassis -

I have a question. I have a 2012 Gmc Sierra 1500 5.3 and are looking to upgrade to a high output alternator. My truck has the factory regulated voltage control system ( RVC ). My battery is stock and my terminals and cables are stock. I don't have an aftermarket sound system or winch or anything that demands alot of power. What all would i have to do to accommodate a high output alternator for my application? My truck is a daily driver and i want to upgrade for more reliability.

I have a question just trying to understand how everything works I ordered a 290 for my 19 Camry and I have been rerunning the bypass test you guys had me do and honestly it's different from what everyone has told me I unplugged my alternator wiring harness and started the car expecting to see a battery light or a charging system malfunction indicator but neither happened it started up like normal no lights or indicators but when I first started it up the voltage was around 13.2 like normal which is where my lifepo4 rests at so I didn't think anything of it but after driving to Napa to get the belts while I noticed that my voltage was at 13.5 and fluctuating between 13.495-13.510 and no matter how long I drove around or how many times I reported the process same thing no light or indicators just a half volt drop which isn't a problem my car is PCM controlled and I thoroughly researched it before making the purchase so I knew before hand it was going to be a 50/50 shot on some type of voltage issue that is the reason I got the voltage control to combat it as best as possible and charge higher but what I'm wondering is if this is a common thing I have seen videos where guys with external regulator or voltage control charging around 15.2 tops instead of 15.8 around a half a volt short just like I saw today and if so can you please tell me the best ways possible to combat it other than grounding everything and doing a straight run to my lithium bank just trying to understand everything a little better and the best ways of troubleshooting ( IF) being the key word I see the same thing after installing your equipment

I ordered a 320 amp alternator for my 2016 ram 1500, as soon as I started the truck I had a low voltage light on the dash. Also lights flicker on occasion, the next day I started the truck with the remote start and when I opened the door the truck turned off I though to my self that was odd. So I decided to remove the auto tech alternator and reinstall the stock one and bam truck was perfect again, no lights flickering, no shutoff with remote start, no low voltage message. So I called customer service and was told to get a meter for my dash, ja no no no. I nicely told the lady on the phone that I was not driving my truck with that low voltage message on all the time ( it’s annoying ). Her response was that if it was putting out the voltage the alternator was fine and my truck was the problem, and if I wanted to send it in I could but I would pay for shipping costs for a unit that is defective, I don’t think that is fair at all. I hope when it comes back it works. Honestly I bought mine from auto tech because they had good reviews, I just don’t think it’s fair that the customer has to pay for mistakes that are made. You can’t order the wrong alternator because on their website it asks for your vehicle year and make, also engine. So I really hope when I get it back it works. I have the big 3 on my truck, can also add videos of the random stuff the truck does with the auto tech alternator compared to stock if anyone is having the same problem out there.

Every unit is tested twice before they ship. We are the only company that provides video proof as well. Things do happen and we are more than happy to show you your alternator performance on a video. So I have a question. I am getting ready to install a high output alternator in my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3. And the alternator has a three-pin connector on the alternator itself. But only a two pin wiring harness that plugs into it. Now my question is if I unplug the harness the battery light goes on. So when I depend one of the pins from the harness itself and plug the harness back into the alternator, battery light comes on. Doesn't matter which wire I unplug. The battery light comes on either way. So when I probed the harness itself, both pins actually are grounded somehow. The new alternator comes with its own individual harness. With one wire going to the positive battery post on the alternator. And the other wire. Now my question is, what will keep my battery light from coming on when I install the new alternator considering the factory harness is not plugged in? Will that affect my charging or the cause the battery light to come on when the alternator is finally installed?
