Really like that diagram of the family tree of notes and how it shows the foundation of the theory of "all for one" and how it creates support for the whole note. I'm only a beginner uke player and you logic is the complex made digestible. Thanks Katie

Thanks for keeping the same chords with some of the practice tracks. My ukulele loved the different voices, with the same notes played with the each strumming pattern. Love how you made micro slices of ear tasty music theory. Brain food for all, served with heapings of heart love teachings. Super Saturday Katie 🌺🎤🎸😍🙏

Here’s the one in the key of G where it has D and Em: G, Em, D, C Beginner Ukulele Chord Drills with Play Along Exercises kzbin.info/www/bejne/mojOamp4it9-nZo I’ll also link the entire playlist. After many years of playing I still need to practice using a metronome. Great suggestion!
@OneMusicSchool4 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. I still need a metronome to reign me in. I have a tendency to RUSH!!!
@craigzolkowski53964 жыл бұрын
One Music School I have a tendency to rush AND playing behind the beat. 😉😀 I'm very dependent on a click track when practicing and performing live. I've found the more I practice WITH a metronome the better my ability is to play in time without a click. The basics of playing quarter notes mixed with eighth notes is a key foundation. This is especially true when playing a stringed instrument . Love your teaching style and ability. ❤️

Hello, I have added 12 of your 16 videos but hard to find which lesson I’m on because the video length and time covers up the lesson number. If not too much trouble, “Could you title the 16 video’s so I can add them to my library for practice?”
@thegreensnail69304 жыл бұрын
You look that great at 4:00 AM?!? Brew, question, did I hear you say you down strum with your index finger and upstrum with your thumb? I’m taking you along to our super remote cabin this weekend and will be practicing. ☺️
@OneMusicSchool4 жыл бұрын
You're so sweet. It's really good concealer! Hahahaha. Yes, I try the alternate finger strumming. I mentioned it in the 10 tips video if you need some more detail, and I'm here if you have any questions. You're going to be using your nails for the thumb and index finger, so just think all nails, no flesh :).

@OneMusicSchool4 жыл бұрын
Yes, these lessons do work for guitar.
@garitunstall11394 жыл бұрын
Also, these lessons aren’t numbered. You say that I should at least see lesson #2 abs this video will make more sense but since they’re not numbered I’m having trouble finding all of the 16 lessons. Do you have them together somewhere that I can access more easily?
@OneMusicSchool4 жыл бұрын
Yes, here's the playlist, and they're in order. The thumbnail also have a number on them so that you can see which day is which. The first lesson was introducing the series with strumming technique tips for the ukulele. The second day was Rhythm 101 because the rest of the series has rhythm graphics. This is the third day to start strumming. The first two days lay the foundation because many people want to just skip rhythm and get into strumming. I've found that many of my students find themselves in a bit of trouble when they just dive in without a foundation. Not everyone needs it, but I wanted to make the other two videos before this one so that, just in case someone needed it, it would be available. I hope this helps.
