Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, formerly known as Spider-Man Freshman Year just got a major update from Brad Winderbaum, who is head of Marvel Animation. He recently did an interview where he discussed new details and his thoughts on the upcoming animated Spider-Man series! He seems very positive about Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, so does this get you excited for the upcoming animated webslinger series?

Many people wants spiderman 98 as they don't want 15 years old peter again. But hear me out, This universe could fix the origin of Peter Parker we got in mcu. We finally have money problem and uncle ben. They could do two things to fix everything about mcu. 1) this "freshman year" universe could be the reboot after secret wars (they said we will get reboot after secret wars) and it would not fix spiderman origin but everything wrong with other superheroes. Or 2) to fix Spider-Man origin. You don't really need to reboot it. Make Spider-Man origin completely get retconned after doctor strange spell. After the new spell. Ned and MJ doesn't know Peter because the timeline changed and never met him (just like freshman year, there's no ned) and someone would know Peter whom he never met. Just like harry. The spells causes everyone who knows either die (like aunt may) or never knew him the all time and someone who doesn't know, knows him.

Plus it's really great opportunity to fix MCU Spiderman storyline and throw out Stark mentor Storyline. To make Peter Parker "Man" we don't need to have him as Adult.

And there were people hating on the Tom Hollande Spider-Man and those crappy cartoons made by disney, one of the reasons was because Peter is once again a teenager . A teen Spider-Man series has been done to death . Fans are tired of it . There are plenty of good comics where Peter is and adult and happily married that were made decades ago and have yet to be adapted .

@@JaceTheDon for to long , the status quo of spiderman is him being a teen in high school , make one where he is already and adult , that era of spider-man has some of the best stuff. I ( and many others ) are so burned out when it comes to teen peter . " it's part of the lore " that don't mean it needs to be focused on ,they could easily go the spiderman ps4 route and begun with him as an adult already , with a few exposition demos of what happened in high school .

A cartoon where he is in high school has been done to death , you can easily have a cartoon that starts with him in 20s and drops a exposition dump about how how he got his powers, and occasionally put in few flashbacks of him in high school , that's fine . The problem is that once again we have a show that sets in high school instead of him already as an adult , it causes us to miss put on some good spiderman comics that are long overdue to be adapted .
