Your Guide to the 2022 Sunset Park RV Sun Lite 16BH: Everything You Need to Know

Hey guys it’s Cory with Custom RV in Amarillo, Tx and welcome back to another video. Today we are going to take a look at the 2022 Sun Lite 16BH by Sunset Park RV.
The Sun Lite brand is the flagship brand for Sunset Park RV and is one of the fastest growing brands in the country today. All Sun Lite models can be towed by most smaller SUVs and crossovers with a 3500 pound tow capacity. This 16BH will feature the optional 6” axle lift and sport package, 200 watts of solar, dual power awnings, the larger 10.7 cubic foot refrigerator, and so much more!

I love this. I'll admit when I want to go camping, I don't want to stay in a hotel. This camper is my next step in camping evolution. The only thing I would change or want is a north to south bed. Awesome! Thanks!

I would think they should consider swapping the sink and stove. I saw another review that said cooking splatter gets all over the bed so he built something to block the splatter.

Amazing they still put speakers in these when a simple blue tooth speaker would suffice. Grease might splatter onto the bed if you’re cooking but in general this is perfect. 👍

Not bad for a small camper the only complaint I would say is to switch the Kitchen sink. and stove, I don't mind spilling water on my sheets but not food or something that can burn the sheets Causing a fire.

So on the sink and stove situation, they couldn’t just flip flop them because of where the water heater and plumbing is located.

Quickly becoming my favorite! Can tank heaters be added for cold weather camping? Also the 12 volt frig is such a better option! I'd rather have the side mount 5000 btu A/C, is that an option and can one be ordered, if so how long for delivery?

Tank heaters can be added very easily. In the Sun Lite series you can easily swap the 13.5K AC for a 15K but it does have to be a roof mount.

Yes. We sure can do that for you. Right now we are looking around March at the earliest for ordered units. It could be sooner but I’d have to call the factory once they open back up after New Years.

You can get these with the red secondary metal instead of yellow. That was the one we happened to have in stock at the time this was recorded.

A good night’s sleep is key, and that mini mattress just won’t cut it. I really like the knotty pine, though.

The mattress is actually incredibly comfortable for a Rv mattress.

@@RVingwithCory At 6’2”, the camper queens just aren’t long enough for me. I’m sure it’s a comfortable mattress for folks slightly shorter than me. I love the rest of the unit, however.

This is my favorite layout and style. Only thing I don't like is the oven next to the bed. But oh well.

Couple things I don't like I don't like the stove and oven right next to the bed I wish they had swapt where the sink was with this. Second is no sink in bathroom meaning you wash your hands where you was your dishes. My one question with the shower can you add one of those handles that circulates the water until it gets hot?

Thanks for the feedback. The way I understand how the shower miser works is that it has to be installed when they build the trailer since it goes straight back to the fresh tank. I suppose it could be installed aftermarket but it’d be very expensive since it wasn’t designed for that.

It's curious how solar is an option and apparently a couch when they don't even list that on their website. What kind of solar panels are they?

They are flexible low profile panels. You can get either 100 watts or 200 watts of solar panels with these.

The rear awnings are available. I don’t think you can do a batwing awning though.

It’s an option tied with the 3 burner stove and oven combo. Standard is a 2 burner stove that gives you some prep space and a dual basin sink without a sink cover

It goes to the backside of the radio so you can hook up a DVD player

There is a black color option available. The aluminum wheels are also an option. They use a 3500 pound axle

They are both 15” tires but I’m not sure on the exact measurements.

They can but the specific options on this one will be more expensive if you don’t get the elite package which forces the oven and 3 burner cooktop.

Did you know that SunLite makes a motorcycle towable unit known as the Excel 2? A pop up camper that sets up in 1 minute, and weighs 350 lbs . It's ok if you didn't, I swear even SLT doesn't seem to know or care that they own such a thing.

Thanks for the comments. Are you saying this because we didn’t post pricing in the video? If so, we don’t publish pricing in our videos because the prices are constantly changing with every new unit that we get on our lot. These videos do not ever get taken down so if someone sees a video with pricing in it from several years ago, they will come on to the lot and say they saw this trailer at such and such price in the video and get frustrated when the current model’s price is different.

The window style A/C is a way better option. This A/C is too big, too loud, too expensive to replace and not thermostatically controlled.

Except the window AC isn’t powerful enough for a trailer this size.

⁠A 5,000 btu window unit is plenty big enough to cool something that small. That trailer is tiny.

@gregoryhodge9452 it isn’t big enough at all. The 149 SunRay struggles to stay cool with a window unit and it’s smaller than the 16BH.
