With oathtakers you get better version of sergeant sash later in the game with event. Not sure if thats guaranteed tho

Thank you! I'm using a cosmetic mod (which crashed this campaign lol). I also had Davkul Rising turned out because I forgot to take it off from a test campaign (whoop!). I try to run without mods.

1:10 Man... I keep forgetting how extremely common that mispronounciation is. It's "An-Selm" not "An-Salem", it's the same name of the italian saint who originated the ontological argument for God's existance, St Anselmo. You just do an "un" sound followed by "elm" as in "elm tree".

You should try a bf dodge fat neutral build on the younger oathtaker. Currently my guy has 109 ini in 300/300 armor. I think this build could be good for a lot of oathtakers since they can’t get stars in hp but their initiative is so high

I've seen people throw around the term bf dodge fat neutral, what exactly does that mean?

@@sanchez444 BF = Battleforged (the perk). Dodge (the perk) Fat neutral = not leveling fatigue (there are guides online to explain this but basically you take perks/equipment that nullify the need to worry about fatigue)

Brawny dodge pathfinder bf? Wouldnt nimble be better and go dodge relentless pathfinder and just level health when it’s a good roll

I like the start but I am not really a fan of the oaths. It is random which ones you get and some and pretty bad.

I think they’re fine but they should change mor often 10 days is insane how long that is. I’d have made it 7 days or even 5 if it was up to me

There are major beast subjugation contracts, witch hut and hunting ground legendary for vs beast oath to work. That and when hunting .snek horde for the best general armour attachment. Certainly a plus for some of the bs arena battles

I thought double grip younger oathtaker from the beginning is nice idea. When it's really safe, when your atk about 80 or you got nimble/forge/duelist?

I kept him as a shield tank for most fights to make up for not having a good tank. Either works I bet

Was losing runs till I tried this. Also switched to the lighter armour. Some boosts in initiative and early dodge pick means he moves far ahead in the turn order. That arming sword easily one hits the trash mobs with 2h grip.

The economic difficulty setting is absolutely ridiculous. Especially the starting funds, there's so much to buy, and it's all crap. Low stat brothers, low damage weapons, low durability armor. I always play on High/Easy/Expert. The combat difficulty is great though, the enemies are smart on expert, and dumb on easy.

A lot of them will be, not much has changed overall. If you see someone solo the kraken with mushrooms that has been nerfed but overall for build guides you should be ok.

Yeah I think they're virtually all still good. My black sheep video is the "Best Fearsome Build" which should really be renamed "How Good is Minmaxing Fearsome" to be more clear, but even still I think that video has merit. I started making guides around Blazing Deserts so my stuff is actually rather up to date.

@@CarveaHole Thanks man, I'll check it out. Do you remember if there was a port route to the NW of the map from the South-Central region? If it has that, it looks like it's a promising map as long as it has decent trade goods and a couple Hunter's Cabins. The only annoying thing is that huge bay that splits the southern region, but it looks crossable in several spots, so not terribly. Finding a decent map is the real final boss of Battle Brothers. Finding a map with citadels along the edge of the Wilds for staging expeditions, decent trade routes with a good trade good variation for early game, and at least a couple Hunter's cabins to get archers is nigh impossible it feels like.
