I wish I had watched your video first! I used fabric softener on my sweatshirt and having a hard time getting this HTV to stick 😢

Oh no! Yeah, that fabric softener is a tricky one-it definitely gets in the way!

My daughter has a friend that had her shirt made and they are pretty close and it was for her birthday she loves it... Play cluelessly I wash her new shirt and hot water and dry on high heat not thinking at all set putting it in the dryer would cause the lettering to start peeling off first time washing and drying playlist on what type of material the shirt is even it's not like a regular cotton t-shirt can I fix this with an iron? Any tips or suggestions that you have would be appreciated it is sentimental to her so I would love to be able to fix it... Thank you for your time....

It sounds like it may be a polyester shirt or a blend. You can try an iron at home, but want to be sure to put a protective sheet over it! If you aren't comfortable fixing the shirt, I would ask the friend to re-press the letters!

Loved your video. Question: one tip said to peel all in one motion, but I am having issues with some letters not releasing. I've done many t shirts, but now I am having issues with the sheet not releasing and after a few washes some corners on letters are starting to come up. I don't know what has happened because I use an easy press and Cricut everyday vinyl always, but now it won't release during peel and isn't staying stuck. Very frustrating!!

Could you be over-pressing it? Sometimes if you press it for too long or too hot, it actually destroys the adhesive and it won't stick.

Awesome tips. Thanks for sharing! How do you make thin vinyl transfers stick to cotton, cotton blend or nylon fabric tees and totes? Would heat transfer adhesive powder help along with pre-warming the transfer slightly before ironing it the fabric help? I bought these ready made transfers online about 2 or 3 years ago and I threw them aside, because they never seemed to stick. They are not made of thick vinyl, like the htv ones. I haven’t tried these ideas that I mentioned yet, but I’m desperately hoping that I can find the best way to prevent my transfers from peeling and bubbling even Before the First wash.😩👚

Can you share an example of the type of transfer? I'm not quite sure what you might be referring to and I'd like to try and help better! :)

@@HeyLetsMakeStuff sure! Thin vinyl iron on transfers, and also rhinestone transfers that are pre manufactured. They are already mounted on transfer paper or thin transfer vinyl. Thanks for your help.🙏

Hello Cori, I would like to see what you mean by your tip14 « set your iron-on ». What is a pressing cloth?

Basically I peel back the carrier sheet and then I place a piece of cotton over it and press again. The pressing cloth (the fabric) makes it so the iron on won't stick to my press. Does that help?

I bought 2 Bella shirts and used Black Cricut iron on. The first shirt pressed perfectly. The second shirt the vinyl peeled off. I see the glue☹️on the shirt. Can I wash the shirt and use vinyl iron on it again ?

How weird! You could try washing (do not dry if you still see glue!). Maybe some Goo Gone?

HELP! I just bought my first heat press (12x15) and none of my transfer work! I'm using DTF film, powder, suggested temp/pressure on press and nothing works! Only two attempts have resulted in blurry/faded results. The others (about 10 sheets now) don't work at all! How can this be happening to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee? Lol. Appreciate tips, suggestions, tutorials, free college courses, etc. Lol. Thanks! =).

Is there a chance your new heat press is set to Celsius instead of Fahrenheit so it's set much lower than it should be? How were your DTF prints made? Could you try with another material like HTV to see if that might work (then you might know if it's your prints or your heat press). Hope that helps!

But will look into. @ How were your DTF prints made? Could you try with another material like HTV to see if that might work (then you might know if it's your prints or your heat press). My transfer film is purchased (two different ones by different manufacturers). Update: as of last night I used some sample transfers that were provided with my press and they worked perfectly first try! This was still without the F and C temp knowledge. I think it's safe to say it's my transfer film going forward. Thanks again! =).

My iron on vinyl is already fix when I bought it I had its 1 years it will not stick I Press it for 30 seconds at a time for minutes &half 😂so sad

Oh no! Sometimes these things have shelf lives and stop working as well. Double check how and where you're storing your materials, too.
