How do you prevent the black ink or any other dark colors from peeling up with the transfer tape on the heat transfer film and taking the color off of the T-shirt?

Hi, I've used many htv and didn't have any problems. I tried a newer one which advertised longer life span and ultra thin and soft. I really liked the htv, but after the first wash, it peeled off and then i ended up peeling off the full design. Why does this happen if the htv itself promotes longer life span. This was done on a T shirt, and now I'm worried all the hoodies I've used the same vinyl on will peel too.

I do iron on transfer images and have this problem, but only in the corner as I begin to peel, the rest of the image is in tact and is beautiful..

You might want to wait a few more seconds before peeling. The adhesive is still very pliable when hot. You can even try a cold peel to see if that helps. If you're still having issues, then you'll need to increase your pressure.

I have an issue with DTF, after washing it gets to tear off a little on the edge of the image on the first wash. do you have any suggestions to prevent this?.

Hi there! It would depend on the fabric of the garment. If it is cotton or cotton/poly blend, then standard Siser EasyWeed HTV will work best :)

Hello, I am having issues with sublimation. I sublimate a polyester, soft style tshirt, 100% cotton shirt and just by using it or after a wash you can see the shirt material behind it! Looks like if it’s the ink, could it be temperature or the offset ? Please help me

Hi there! Our apologies - are you having this issue with only polyester or cotton fabrics? Please note, true sublimation will only work on 65% or more polyester.

Help!! I’ve done all the above by when peeling my dtf off the T-shirt the image doesn’t stick just a little bit of residue on the tshirt very faint colours When touched the ink is sticky Any advice greatly appreciated :)

There are a few possible issues that could be causing that. 1) You are peeling at the wrong temperature. If your film is a cold peel, you must wait until the transfer has completely cooled before peeling it off your shirt. And if it's a hot peel, you should peel within about 3-5 seconds. 2) Less likely, but the powder adhesive may not have fully cured onto your print. Be sure you're following the proper instructions for your powder and film when curing. (if you're curing in a heat press, be sure to pre-heat your lower platen for 60 seconds before curing)

Correct, only once. Essentially, if you use the recommended settings, you should be able to see the texture of the fabric where the vinyl is. We recommend making test shirts and washing them to ensure you are pressing the HTV correctly.

Does this method work for jet opaque transfer? Because i ran into the peeling problem where it looks like you can peel the edges

Yes, peeling like that is usually from insufficient pressure. Most heat transfer paper requires firm pressure, so you definitely want to double check your pressure setting.

Yes, if your Neenah Jet Opaque II is peeling, it is almost always going to be due to insufficient pressure. We recommend using a firm pressure for that product and be sure your press is set to 350°F, 30 seconds, and peel it cold.
