In long distance, things turn out boring easily. No new Topics to talk on calls. It felt we were loosing each other. Accidently, one day I found these couple question games. Lovify being my personal favorite, helped to bring back the spark. Its so funny that a couple game actually saved my relationship. We used to play it a lot and got to know a lot about each other. When you really love your partner, you will find ways to make it work :)

My take is that one doesn’t need to go LDR for a reality check. There are couples that live in the same city who can’t even trust each other. I think it has more to do with shared values and commitment. That builds trust which is a requirement for any healthy relationship.

Just finding your videos and you’re so spot on!! Have now started the second year of a long distance relationship, we live on different continents and have only seen each other once, second time is being planned.. we are both having very busy lives but we keep in touch throughout our entire day as much as possible through our work which is, very busy for both of us.. Time difference can sometimes be a big obstacle but we manage and move around 🥰 She makes my life richer in the most valuable ways, even without an end date to when the long distance will end.. We are both committed while being in opposite sides of the world, and of all the relationships I’ve been in, this is the most caring and nourished one I’ve been in.. And I have never fully understood the meaning of having someone truly love me for me, and not what I have.. until now

I really like the point about an end date as it provides both parties with some level of certainty, some goal to work towards and to put measures in place to make sure the goal is realizable. Also, that you do scenario planning which provides you with alternative plans if the initial one(s) do/does not work out. Great stuff Jess.

Hi Adrian just saw your message, assuming you are much younger than me....I'm 38.the biggest key to success is placing an end date.four years is sufficient enough for the two of you to decide who should move to who? I'm being in long distance for over a year now, and I'm sharing my location through a mobile app non-stop basically. Early on, I just said here, you can see where I am. I did not ask my partner to do the same, respecting their choices and privacy. But we both share location anyway, and we both check quite often. It just helps knowing about little things and trying to support each other where we can.

I've been through some awful things in my life and sometimes I do get a bit worried that something might happen to cause us to break up but we both made a promise to always talk about any problems we're having.... I love him and I know he loves me.... thank you for this advice🥰🥰

We agree, we were together for a couple of months before we had to be apart for a couple of months. Technology is our biggest friend, we spend so much time video calling and texting. We make goals and we speak about the future so much. This definitely helps to stay committed and it gives you something to look forward to. Also make plans to go see each other and be very open in your communication and respect towards one another. You both as a couple need to have faith. We also had tough times but we also felt that there are lots of positive aspects of being in a long distance relationship. You form different ways to show love and be grateful for what you do have. Also you learn how to read each other’s facial expressions 😊. Great video, thank you so much

Thank you so much Jessica for these tips. Being that I feel my options on relationships are limited because of my disability, I have often been challenged on the validity of a LDR (long distance relationship). I have been in this kind of relationship before, but a lot of the times she was the one who ended up growing tired of it. Over the years we have been dating online, we have made plans on when is the best time to be together but always there was some reluctance on her part to cooperate and make the relationship work. As well as other diplomatic and political BS that kept getting in the way of her coming to my country. Through your video I see that there are chances that it can work, and I'm not insane for thinking so, but only if there is FULL WILLINGNESS AND COOPERATION on both sides.

This is a great video. These types of videos are always appreciated. Thank you. I'm not trying to sound negative, but I had to give up a LDR for many reasons. The one main reason that was a major sign was because I was told by her, for lack of better words, it all depends on you and you better not disappoint me because I'm going to have to give up everything and everyone I've ever loved, known, grew up with to be there with you. First off, no one's asking anybody to give up anything. I really thought about it and asked advice and everyone said that it is a recipe for disaster. There's going to be a lot of resentfulness and anger if you two get together and it doesn't work out. I was told that she was putting me in a very bad position and that if anything went wrong, it's always going to be my fault and she's always going to throw it in my face that she had to give up everything. I had to make the hard decision, but for the better of both of us, I had to work on cutting it off emotionally and somewhat physically even though it was long distance. It wasn't easy, but I had to rip the Band-Aid off sooner than later. This isn't meant to disenourage anybody or put down long distance relationships as far as people who are involved in them and who have become successful with theirs. I'm very happy to hear about the success stories. Some people despite their best efforts can't make it work solely because it's long distance.

I've been watching your videos for a while now but this one really got me because we do must of the things you mentioned. Recently, I met her and the experience was amazing. Taking pictures with Snapchat and laughing at ourselves was a moment to remember. Thanks for this video.

I have been in a long distance relationship it never worked all that was happening is arguments and my fellow partner was never committed when it comes to consistency communication… all he kept on saying is that am not that person who is good in communication.. sometimes u text but the person answers you after one hour and he is seen online.. It was so complicated but he kept on telling me he loves me but it wasn’t worthy it at all.. Sometimes he could answer you watever that comes to his mouth 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Its so hard dealing with a long distance relationship especially when it comes to a person who is not willing to sacrifice anything to that relationship I hard to suffer but at the end of the day we broke up (two yrs wasted on air) 😣😣
