Something else that most people don't know The Outfield were active all the way up to 2014 before one of the guitarist had passed away, which was what ultimately led to the break-up of the band 2 years later, the keyboardist of The Outfield died and something that people didn't realize about the keyboardist of The Outfield was the fact that when he was really young, he'd had some kind of issue with his eyes that was so bad that they'd been surgically removed, thus the reason why if you watched the video for this song, you'd see him wearing his sunglasses throughout the entire video and the other band members walking alongside him one of them would have their hand on his shoulder

Not many singers are able to keep their voice juvenile, clean, hit the high notes and be full of energy after their 60s, I'm very sad Tony passed. So many concerts yet. This song represents the 80s, my mom's college memories, and my early childhood memories. RIP Tony

Brad Perry My brothers and I always had it cranked up in our brown Chevy Nova everywhere we went. Yeah our tape got chewed up quite a bit. Surprisingly, my 3 yr old son asked me (by humming) to play this song the last couple of days...... the kid’s got good taste. Hopefully I’m still around when he gets to enjoy it in his own car.

I think there's a slight difference in that he sounds a Tiny more rough and with a bit of the accent creeping in but fir the most part he sounds practically identical to the 1986 original.

I was a dj in upstate NY and they walked in with the Village People. They also when recognized and politely asked did an a cappella version of this song. This was in 1990. The village people were on the dance floor with the waitresses in their cheerleader outfits leading the crowd. Very loud and amazing!
