My sister & I spent one memorable night with Tommy & Cheech & their crew in Sydney in 1974 (or 5?). We were dancing in a club when they came in & we all danced for a while laughing & joking until we went downstairs into the back of a large van, smoked a few joints and laughed all night until the sun came up. Wow! What a night. We never forgot it & my sister passed away 3 weeks ago and I just bet that she put this video in front of me as a reminder of the good times to remember. 420 originated from a campus, I dont remember which one, but a group of stoners designated 4:20pm as the best time of the day to meet underneath a statue to smoke (dont remember which statue) it became so big that it spread across the country and then the world. Its not any jurisdictions police code for weed.

Bishop Barron and other theologians describe hell as metaphor for spiritual torment. God doesn't cast you there but when you resist God or reject him you end up in that place. Hell is resistance to God. To me that's a perspective on hell that makes a lot of sense :). Anyway... Just wanted to drop that. Amazing podcast as always. Is Tommy fucking high when he's talking about Canada's legalization of weed it was a shit show and weed cost more then ever to buy for the consumer. Edit 1 26:00 idk what Tommy is talking about with the Chinese settlement in new Brunswick that the opposite cost from China they would have to pass by Europe or at the very least there boats would have to sail all the way around the cape of Africa and then just go west and when they hit north america the chinese boats would have to sail several more days or weeks to get to new Brunswick. It's far more likely that a Chinese expedition if it landed in North America landed on the west coast.
