No I mean I spent an entire 30 minutes trying to explain to my mother how much I liked the fact that everyone is depressed. "But that means it's really dark and you have to read from their perspective all the time." "This Kaladin guy is really depressed" "oh don't worry mom it only gets worse and in book 4 there's little no combat and like 60% of the book takes place in Kaladin's brain when he is having a depressive relapse and honestly reading that book made me really sad. It was awesome"

They commented enough questionable things, especially with Moash being right that I always recognize them instantly. They could be a troll, or an edgelord who “hates human” and “will join Odium if given a chance”.

Anyone who thinks Stormlight has "elements of grimdark" is not reading grimdark. Stormlight is the literal polar opposite of grimdark, in a burgeoning subgenre called noblebright, which is about hopeful inspirational fantasy. Characters struggle, but they persevere, and they can make the world a better place. That's Stormlight. Grimdark is all about cynical-characters struggle, they fail, the world becomes worse, and human actions are meaningless and we're enslaved to our basest and worst instincts. That's not grimdark at all.

But it's not depressing. There are moments of it, sure, but at the end, the story has a strong hopeful undertone to it. Besides, you should read it for the characters alone. It really is worth it. Kaladin has to be one of my favourite characters of all time, followed by Dalinar and the others.
