The fact that Tom is able to acknowledge that some violence is funny makes him way more self aware than the repressed Christina. For all her talk about psychology she sure doesn't seem to understand that to be in touch with ones dark side, the 'shadow', as Jung called it, is much more healthy than to just repress it and pretend it isn't there
@TheAlpineShepherdBoy7 жыл бұрын
Her talk of psychology is generally speaking on her mom being crazy and or she likes to talk shit about people with mental issues. Doesn't exactly make her an expert.

Laughing in the face of pain and dark experiences is one of the most emotionally healthy things you can do. Tom can also simultaneously take things seriously while finding all of the humor in them and enjoying it with laughter. Christina needs to get the fuck off her moral high horse and lighten up because she is the one here with psychological issues regarding humor in dark subjects.

Tom, when you go to Fartgo, ND, you'll be there on the 28th, I believe, and that day NDSU will be playing a game at home in the FartgoDome. I know you're a fan of football, and I think this is a team you might enjoy watching. The game will likely be a huge blow out but home games are always amazing, great tailgating and the energy is unlike any game I have been to personally.. The dome is somewhat near your show, and I'm gonna guess very nearby to your hotel (very few nice hotels to choose from) so if by some chance you have a few hours to kill around noon that day, definitely go check out the game.

TFW people in the comments can't understand a fun conversation between a wife and husband who know each other very well and have been married forever. All the people in the comments don't realise that Tim laughing at dark things wouldn't be as funny without Tanya's disapproval. It's a necessary condition, actually. In the same way that the PC crowd are necessary for the very existence of raw humor. You don't actually want the PC crowd to disappear, because the enjoyment of comedy itself will disappear. No one wants to listen to someone shouting a word that is no longer taboo. It becomes nothing but noise. Tom probably wouldn't be a comedian if it wasn't for his mother's dislike of blue (or brown) language.
