99’ is more comedic especially with the influence of hiphop culture and suburbia
@RockoJerome5 жыл бұрын
calibomber209 I totally disagree, I think that’s what kinda ruins 99. Those kids were all raised on Tupac gangsta bullshit and seemed to know the convicts weren’t allowed to really hurt them, but the 70’s kids had only ever seen Beretta and shit like that and were ill equipped. Plus, the convicts got in their faces a lot more in the first one.

Men who are in a real life approximation of hell, put on the role and image of the demons of that hell. They use this appearance to scare children from making mistakes that would lead them to the same type of hell. This is an incredibly noble action coming from who we otherwise have discarded from our world. The beautiful thing is that it is most likely fatherless sons trying to scare straight other fatherless sons.

The absolute best episode of Scared Straight was the ep where the prisoner had a small comb and he gave the comb to a kid and asked the kid to comb his chest hair. When the kid refused, the prisoner went totally ballistic on this kid and the kid was intimidated by all the yelling to actually comb the prisoner's chest hair and the kid was crying as he was combing. It was a moment that was supposed to be terrifying but it unintentionally wound up being one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen. 🤣🤣😂😂
