Heck yeah. A friend of mine recently turned me on to Radwimps. I was surprised when I saw them show up in the credits at the end. Did not see Red Turtle yet. Definitely want to check out your reviews on the music. Love The Beatles and REM. Prince I only know to some degree (but luckily it's much easier to access his stuff online now). Would like to know your favorite Beatles and REM record. I think for the Beatles I'd go with Revolver (though at the moment most of my listening has been tracks from the White Album). For REM I really don't know. I prefer their IRS years, but maybe Automatic for the People is still their best record in my opinion.

I really enjoyed watching Your Name, I do so theatrically here in the US. I really enjoyed it, great movie, probably my favorite from Shinkai Makoto. It was very well done, very good story, and everything. I should go back and watch it again to pick up on everything. Maybe pick it up on blu-ray once it gets a US release. I've not seen Red Turtle, a reason I've not seen it yet was because it didn't have any dialog. I went and saw Boy and the World, a Brazilian animated film which was weird and went over my head and also really didn't have dialong. So I guess I was apprehensive to go and watch Red Turtle. Not seen Up on Poppy Hill yet, but I really do need to watch it. I've heard good things about it. And it's been a long time since I saw Iron Giant, so maybe I need to go back and watch that again as well.

The only film you mentioned that I haven't see is Red Turtle. I'l put that on my watchlist. A Silent Voice (Koe no Katachi) is an animated film you should watch.

Just saw this tonight. A friend of mine imported it and had a bunch of people over to watch it. I had zero expectations and was floored. I am now doing my best to resist the urge to spend 70 dollars importing it myself.

The Iron Giant is still in my top ten animated films, that and Totoro, Valley of the Wind, Too Rock and Rule, Akira, etc....

I finished watching Your Name. There was a real moment when I clapped. A good moment. Well, that and the dust in my eyes. What a great movie.

What are your thoughts on Sony pictures acquiring Funimation? I heard they are paying about $150 million or so. And yes, I thought this movie was well done all around and glad I watched it.

Japan is in region 2, no? Then it's in the same region as the UK. I don't think the USA is in region 2...

Here in USA we are Region 1.

Americas, Korea and Asian islands (Japan, Indonesia, Phillipines etc.) are Region 1. Europe, Australia, Middle East and Africa are Region 2, Greater Asia is Region 3.
