Back in the day, my parents bought my sisters and I an old car for $100. It needed a muffler so Dad put a Thrush muffler on that old beater because it was the cheapest option. That thing thundered! My parents loved it because they could hear us coming home from 4 or 5 blocks away, which allowed them time to compose themselves from worrying about where we were and what we were doing. Our neighbors felt the same way. I grew up with fabulous parents in a fabulous community with fabulous neighbors. I am so grateful for all that - I always have been. Kids today could learn from that!

@@PartyOf8Please my first car was a 1976 Chevy Vega. It ran like crap but it got me to where I wanted to go. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. No one I grew up with had brand new fancy cars at the age of 16. 👍🏼

Loud pipes are already illegal. They remove parts of the exhaust system as well, to make it louder. You're just not likely to get a ticket for it.
