In the old days, the bottom trim level of most car makers was vinyl/plastic seat trim. Higher spec came with cloth seat trim. Today, some makers offer 'vegan leather', or plastic seat trims. I want leather for leather trim. Proper leather!

This is the future until EVs and charging improves. These will cover 95% of your journeys in EV mode and for the rest, you can always get petrol everywhere and the range will be twice an EV. Like most plugins, it only makes sense to charge at home or where it's free. Using a public charger doesn't make sense as the cost of electric is more than petrol. Using overnight rates of 5p/kwh to charge this, I reckon it would be around £1 to charge and get 60-70 miles. Perfect! Great balanced review!

Agreed. The charging infrastructure in Aus is a long way behind other countries that are moving to EV.

The boot capacity for the PHEV is 745 litres and not 910 as mentioned in the video. Still very large though......

Waiting for mine, not as a company car though. Has been stuck in Germany for 3 weeks now, waiting to board a boat to England. Can't wait, honestly. We have solar panels and a car charger at home, so it will be great for short commutes and even back and forth from Heathrow in full Electric.

Wanting VAG phev we are forced to wait for caddy phev or Multivan, and wait for it - T7 based on Ford Toureno Custom. Skoda should do their minivan - next gen Sharanq

Re Vegan Leather, just call it what it is - plastic - and don’t pretend it’s a top of the range option on some cars.

Vegan leather is made from bamboo. That's why it's referred to as vegan, because it's a by product of a plant. Don't know how they do it, but they do.!😮

Across the EU, EV sales dropped 11% in July, Volvo have just announced they are ditching their all EV models by 2030, a total waste of resources, 54% of people can’t charge at home, WHY is this fact ignored.

No Volvo is not "ditching their EV models by 2030", they have postponed the date to a full electric brand, but demand for EV in Europe is strong. Furthermore, in Europe, the only alternative to EVs will be public transportation and cycling, new ICE cars will be ban in 2035. And honestly, most people don't need a car at all in cities, where 80% of the population live.

It’s nice but like most new cars crazy over priced. I have the mk1 kodiaq and to get the same car it’s £10K more. For a ŠKODA. Nice car decent interior BUT and it’s a big but they’ve gone too far on price for what you get. Many brands offer similar space and performance with high quality finish inside for around the same money.

Real leather is renewable, cows die or are used for beef, obviously, so the leather is not needed, so many weak soft people around these days, if you want to be a vegetarian (you need supplements to get all the nutrients your body is missing out on) then fine, no problem, just don’t force your twisted views on others.
