I use launch and I find it doesn't break it down like think tool and topdon. You have to know what you are searching for in launch, but I definitely like where this is going. It will be helping us do more with find and fixing on the vehicle.

This diagnostic tools is very expensive, not only for personal, home use but also for diagnostic workshop workshop/ company . For example thinkpps cost for today (end of year 2024) cost 5000zloty/ 1000F , and this is onlyncost for.power supply , where is licence, where is cisr for J2534, where is cost for diagnostic hardware. Thinkcar is avesome,bur id a most expensive diagnostic tools(for long term usage).

Awesome device :) BUT so far non off these tablets (Autel, Launch, Thinkcar) can do engineering job, like BMW (E-Sys), MB (Vediamo/DTS Monaco), VAG (ODIS-E), more engineering options for MB so far has ABRITES, especially for FBS4 solutions.

The module list is kind of confusing, it's an F30 in this video so it should have FEM & REM modules for body functions and not FRM (and CAS) like shown here. If you know your BMW's then you know you're actually entering the REM module because of the functions it provides you but to people new to BMW's I can see this being confusing. You would think these tools would be based on the dealer software like ISTA but ISTA would name it correctly. That being said it's probably cause it's partially based on the old E series where the body functions are mainly run by the FRM (address 72) and the CAS (address 40) which addresses are re-used in the F series for REM and FEM BODY respectively.
@MechanicMindset17 күн бұрын
Yeah I didn’t notice that. I mean behind it all, it seems to have the same feature naming as the dealer tool. Maybe the modules broadcast the same address as the FRM, so this tool just names it as that because it matches its look up table?
@darek85TBG18 күн бұрын
this is just an advertisement, nothing more. the advertised equipment is very expensive (especially looking at the longer period of time) I do not recommend
@BorisSpark18 күн бұрын
I got access to snap on diagnostic and many others, I can pay loads of money for it, but yet I can do most things with a simple launch which is far cheaper. Unless you are advertising or running a large workshop where you have 20-30 cars a day going through it's not worth the investment in my opinion.
@MechanicMindset18 күн бұрын
@@darek85TBG Some of these features are available on lower priced tools. This also has packages included which usually cost (a lot) extra on other tools like the HD commercial pack and EV pack diagnostics. There are lots to choose from out there; these are some of the latest features
