Is Chichen Itza as cool as everyone says it is? Arguably the most famous Mayan ruins in Mexico, Chichen Itza is a long 3-hour drive from Cancun, Mexico. We piled into the van and hit the road to see what all the fuss was about. We even managed to stop at Valladolid along the way!

Great video. I take it you may have preferred to take the bus tour. How was tge driving experience in Mexico?

If you're doing only a day trip, I think it's worth it. Otherwise it's a lot of driving. I think we would have liked to just drive out there and camp out near the ruins. I know there are accommodations out there as well, so that might be even better... More time for everything ☺️ Driving in the Yucatan peninsula is super easy, big nice roads. The cops can be a pain with asking for bribes, but nothing unmanageable. The rest of Mexico is not as great of roads but still a great drive all around! Loved it
