@@cyberpunk-2O77 That is BS that you can get a flashlight save when a killer pulls a survivor from a locker. The killer is not even directly looking at the light, but just because the survivor is flashing it from the corner of the killers vision it counts. I hate how survivors can turn what should be as a last resort into an offensive move. I personally think that the Killer should be immune to flashlights when grabbing someone from a locker. Also, Descisive Strike should be disabled when a survivor interacts with a locker or is grabbed. It’s already hard enough to get a grab and can only be down when you interrupt a survivor’s action and take them by surprise. You should be rewarded for doing that, not punished.

This game is always interesting for me. As there is no clear win condition, depending on how do you define a win, everyone in the match can potentially win, and survivors can win even if they die. I personally consider a pip and having as much BP as possible as a win. I think the 2 long term goals this game have is to eventually unlock everything and to reach red ranks. So I often die intentionally just to make sure I get iridescent benevolent when I know I have iridescent lightbringer already. If I never went down and repaired 3 gens, I usually just leave, especially if the killer is camping as I know I will get iri unbroken that way. In lower ranks if you repair, have a few good chases where you escape, have saves you can double pip even if you die. I think what poisons the game a lot is the arbitrary rules and win conditions people try to apply. Only 4k is a win for a killer is pretty toxic mindset. If you piped and got like 40k bloodpoint did you really loose? Same for survivors, some consider dying a loss and something negative. Its really not if you think about it. But maybe just played too much Dark Souls :D Also sometimes when I can pull off good mindgames or cool throws/hits its a reward in itself. Sure having 2 hooks with the gates open still a big loss even if I had the most amazing throws in the game.

Exactly. Theres so much fun to have in dbd by doing daily/archive/personal challenges, meme or interesting builds, making those sick or silly plays, but people still wanna run meta builds and watch some bars fill/deplete for "x" seconds just to see a meaningless endgame result. Its sad, honestly.
@Debilinside3 жыл бұрын
@@JetDarknessable It always fascinates me when SWF are bringing sweaty meta builds. Like what is the point? To spend the least amount of time in the match? :D Also survivors are kind of punished for rushing gens and not doing much of anything else. They will depip and get very little bloodpoint if you dont chase them. If you want to mess with sweaty tryhards you can just let them do their thing, maybe bring franklyns and hit them at the gate and make them loose their good items, but they will leave the match with 6k bloodpoints and a depip. I get so much rage and salt in the endgame chat for this, but when 2 gens pop before I find anyone I kind of dont want to play that match anymore. I would depip anyway so why not ruin their day too? :D These teams like to bully the killer anyway, dont give them the satisfaction. But honestly BHV is in a hard spot, I dont know how could they fix this problem. Maybe limit how much of each perk/item can a team bring? That would make matchmaking harder or lead to arguments in the pre-game chat, but I think would help the overall health of the game and bring more variety in survivor builds.

@@justmonika2345 Oh well I camp and tunnel to secure wins for sure, but some teams are well prepped for that. I still feel like his builds aren't good for every situations. Having corrupt intervention is almost mandatory to stop 3 gens to pop early, if they do pop early they're usually on the same side of the map and it facilitates a 3 gen. One more hatchet on running Meg turned it from 1 hook at 2 gens left to 3 people in stage 2 on hook at 2 gens left. Ended up getting 4k in a game that should be a 4 man escape.

Why do so many people say they'd "quit so fast" or talk about giving up? It so rarely happens, that if a survivor manages to get 3+ flashlight saves on me in one game, I'm just thinking something like "well played" or "niiiice". Even though it's entirely on me to make a mistake with exception of forced animations (grabs/lockers), they did well to put me in a situation that made me make the mistake. It's especially fun when they're a "bully squad", even if I don't win - I really enjoyed the match and it's more interesting than smash gens and leave.

This is very true. A few days ago I played a game of Doctor without any gen regression perks, only with Dark Embrace potentially slowing down the gen speed. Basically got a 4-man swf that (Unsurprisingly) spawned right next to my devour hope. It lead me to chase 3 of them at the same time while the 4th was doing the Devour, managed to get a down near the shack so I got a few free hits from survivors hoping to slow me down and still hooked in the basement. Now, with the shack pallet gone and 3 other survivors almost constantly being near shack, almost insta-healing from a constant boon it was just a trade fest. With my shock I made sure that nobody could unhook before me reducing them to injured state and then downing them after unhooking. This eventually ended with survivors escaping thanks to a successful borrowed time body block. Fortunately for me though, by the time everyone was away from my constant pressure and at 3 gens left, everyone except one person was dead on hook. So yeah, SWFs unless smart, can lose just because they try to bully the killer, only to give him free pressure.

If I see a hook in a basement with two downs right beside them, I dip out immediately as I exclusively play solo queue. Not going to feed a killer an extra kill
@JG-gl3hb3 жыл бұрын
This is why I like Otz. So many other people who make DBD content are always doing this 'let's bully the killer' content. I get wanting to have fun with friends, but it's just bad for the game and it's health overall when the goal as survivors seems to be never let the killer do ANYTHING without a stun, a flashlight save, or anything. Otz is both incredibly non-toxic almost the entirety of the time he plays games and he's also good enough that it shows that these tactics can be beaten. Granted that he's about a hundred times better than most of us at this game, but it's nice to see the clicky clicky, teabag SWF people get some comeuppance every once in a while.

In the grand scheme of things and if you truly think about it, Deathslinger was nerfed because he "wasn't fun" (according to survivors) to play against, NOT because he was overpowered at all. Just like going against a SWF isn't fun at all, but its also not overpowered either..... So should SWF get nerfed perhaps? If anyone agrees or disagrees with me please let me know I would like to know your opinion.
@LizEllwood3 жыл бұрын
He wasn't overpowered, no, but he did get literally free zoning, which made counterplay impossible. That said, any nerf they make to swf aside from like reduced bloodpoints, which would be insanely shitty, will also nerf solo queue. The best thing they can do is get solo queue on par or at least as equitable to swf then balance from there. That said, the fact that the latest patch notes literally say "we've noticed a high disparity in rate of swf groups surviving and solo queue surviving" gives me hope that they at least see a problem. But as it stands, anything you do to swf also affects solo queue, and solo queue is quite literally the most miserable experience in the game
@k1llerkomannder3 жыл бұрын
@@LizEllwood playing Killer is the most miserable time in the game
@LizEllwood3 жыл бұрын
@@k1llerkomannder I have to hard disagree. At this point I play exclusively killer and I 100% think solo queue is worse for the reason that you're a part of a team and that team can either be seal team 6 or the three stooges. You have 0 control over everything that happens in the game. You can run the killer for 5 minutes, and one gen pops because Dwight is in a locker, Nea is urban evading despite the killer being in another zip code and Mikaela is blessing her 3rd totem because ??? As killer if you do everything right, you can usually secure a kill, maybe 2, bump up the mmr a little, or if you get outclassed it drops down and you get a better match. In solo queue, if you do everything right and still die, your mmr goes down, you don't get a better match, the game says "you're bad and you should get an easier killer," which is completely backwards

Had this happen just today. My first ever match as Sadako was against a 3-stack of Yuis all in identical outfits. They ran the usual; flashlight, new parts, and TONS of body blocking. Problem for them was they would body block for a survivor I downed two feet from a hook. They did this *repeatedly* which left them constantly injured and trading hooks. To cut this story short, even with me near constantly in chase they simply couldn't get gens done since only one survivor was actively doing work at any given time, while the others were scrambling to unhook and struggling to last more than a few moments in chase. Altruism is fantastic, it can lead to clutch plays and amazing moments. But there's a fine line between altruism and sandbagging.

@Mytea13 жыл бұрын
THAT 1st match is the perfect example for what i meant in a comment the day before yesterday. gens fly, survivors play heroic, survivors don't take you serious and the only reason why they "lost" was due to your skill being able to turn a 0k into a 3k. not so experienced killers would have probably taken the wrong route trying to hook somebody who recently got unhooked into a ds or getting blocked on the hook or whatever ending in a 0k. since you got the knowledge who to pressure when though and didn't panic at the end you could turn this match around even at the end. the casual killer most likely wouldn't be able to do so though. that's what sucks.

I'm not high up the ranks and only main killer because I find it pretty chill most of the time, but I do have to admit I love when a SWF bullies me for a whole game then their altruism comes back to bite them. Last one was a 4 stack that took me (grinding to P3 on Demo) to Ormond with an offering and they brought 2 flashlights, a medkit, and a toolbox so it wasn't made obvious that they'd fight me for every hook with flashlight saves, hook sabotages, and bodyblocks. I got head-on'd, Power Struggle'd (don't see that often), For the People'd, and of course Dead Hard'd. Final few moments I downed one but they got too greedy and my STBFL kicked in and it turned from Survive with Friends to Slugged with Friends race after I opened the exit gate. Turns out we all had a blast and, after complimenting their teamwork, we hung around in the post-game chat just chatting. We've played quite a few silly KYF games when we've all been online.
