Totally agree up to this 40 years of fiat left. Mathematically that's impossible because the government is trapped between raising rates which makes interest cost of debt service eat their entire $2 trillion in annual debt spending, while lowering rates explodes inflation. Raising rates has also raised inflation because companies must pass along the debt service cost. Meanwhile wages are exponentially outpaced and this results in people running from the dollar. When 50% inflation hits the end is quite near. Plus raising rates lowers income taxes collected in real terms. The vice is closing.

Nigeria thought so too when they launched the eNeera CBDC to much local fanfare a year ago. But usage quickly dropped to 1% and black markets run on Bitcoin destroyed it and the government ended the CBDC.
