You having that boundary for your son is one of the many reasons why I love you. So many KZbinrs share absolutely everything just for the views. Respecting our children's privacy on the internet is so important.

I'm glad you protect his story. I have a Aunt and Uncle who unfortunately our very large family knew every detail and it was hard for them. My husband was also adopted and his story wasn't protected and he himself struggled with it for years. Parents need to understand the magnitude of putting that out. It's not your story you are just a character in it.

My hubby of 35 years is adopted as are his three younger siblings. Records from the ‘60’s are sealed and he has never wanted to know his adoption story. I still respect his decision, although we discussed searching for his bios IF any of our four kids had a medical condition that genetics could possibly help.

@@leslielousma7913 My hub was adopted by his Grandparents. And my Aunt and uncle are biologically my 3rd cousins. So they know where they came from but their stories were not protected. In both cases everyone knew the details. Which was hard on them.

I LOVE LOVE your holiday bake with me’s!! I look forward to those every year around this time! It has truly become a holiday tradition of mine. :) It’s only when we give over our faith fully to the lord is when we start seeing his touch in our lives!! I am a firm believer in our father. I give him my anxiety and he takes it away from me, especially when my husband died and came back to life, and all the stress and anxieties I dealt with, with all his medical issues. Kimmy, I think you are amazing and I have followed you for years. Your kids are amazing humans and that is a true reflection of you and Derek both!!

Ok, I love that idea of “if you complain, you get another spoonful”... we have the same issue in our house; if one complains, the other instantly decides they also think the food is gross even if they were just eating it with no complaints. Thank you for that idea- brilliant!! I just might have to try that!! We do already tell them “we aren’t making anything else- you get this and that’s it” unless it’s something we know the kids don’t like but we like, then on an occasion, we’ll make a separate meal at the start, because mom and dad want spicy enchiladas or whatever it may be.... but typically I just make half the enchiladas spicy and half not; so I adjust the recipe to their liking but looks like we’re all having the exact same thing and it’s in the same baking dish

We do lime pie, and when I'm lazy, I make just the filling and that makes a great mousse. It's one can of condensed milk (395g), ine can of thick cream (200g), and the lime juice, enough for your taste (3 to 4). Just put all in the blender until gets all mixed. Put into a container and leave in the fridge overnight. Not freezer 😅

I really enjoy folding towels as well, and I think I find it to be so soothing because they're uniform, they're soft and easy to fold. It's very simple compared to clothing that may be tricky depending on the material. with towels I don't even really have to think and I still feel so productive. I feel quite silly commenting about my enjoyment in folding towels but I do think that its calming to be productive and have something so uniform in front of me. I don't know, maybe I'm crazy but I definitely agree with the towels.

Like you, I have an adopted child after my birth child. She is now 25 and there were some really hard years and girl drama from 10-15 years old. She got better at 16 with driving, but was still snippy and snarky with me. She went into counseling during college years and that really helped her a lot. She's now in medical school and we text or talk almost every day. From my personal experience, adoption is not for everyone and it's a hard road being a teenager to begin with, yet alone being adopted. Best wishes as he continues to grow!

My husband and I can NOT wait to be grandparents!!! Our daughters have a friend who had a baby her senior year of high school. Kimmy, If you see this, I could use a prayer. I have one son whom is 34. he is in a relationship with a girl and has an 8 month old son. My beloved and beautiful grandson Hank. We took "grandma" pictures and I asked her not to share one particular picture because I am heavy set and I cannot stand full on body shots and she got furious with me. Hasn't spoken to me for two weeks. I screenshot the picture and pointed out the reasons I did not want it publicly shared and I fear this was a mistake. But I feel like with her mentality that I need to stand my ground or I will be treated like I' have been for the past 17 months and that is a third world citizen. please whomever reads this, whisper a prayer for me and my situation. Love your videos
