Judge Judy says never ever ever cosign on any loan not even for your kid
@cherylkirby91196 ай бұрын
My friend is having her daughter's car repo tonight so, thank goodness they messed up the paperwork at the dealership. Her daughter is the cosigner. Lol😂 She doesn't realize that screwing herself which makes it even better! 😂 She won't be hit on her credit as bad as she thought at first until I explained it to her. 😂🤣😂

That was pretty grand of you. Yup, I listened to judge Judy. I had a cousin come up to me wanted to "borrow" money. I looked at her Facebook page, she lived more extravagantly much more than me. I told her "no." But showed her how she could save money, showed her these assets were protected, what moves she had to take to protect her assets. She said she had $150 she could pay me monthly. I thought you can pay that to your creditors. Haven't heard from her since. Not a peep. I'm not a bank. Good riddance.

I have a friend who co-signed for her sons sports car. He stopped paying on it and didn't tell her. Even though he lives with her. He also was supposed to pay the electric bill. It didn't happen. He switched the electric bill to his name and then his wife's until they cut off service. She went an entire Spring and Summer without electric.. She is financially ruined. I feel so bad, for her. They left, but she let them come back... She is a much kinder person than I am.. I bought cars for my kids to use,in college. They can buy them off of me when they graduate or buy their own. I will never cosign for them and they know it!!

What she should have done is taken out life insurance on the kid as soon as she cosigned. I have heard of kids passing away & the parents try to get out of repaying the student loan bc the kid died. The answer was no - you are responsible. Life insurance on a kid is cheap insurance. I took a loan for $75k to start my new business years ago. The bank made me pay for a life insurance policy for $75k in case I died before it was paid off. I thought that it was a pretty smart move on their part.

Phone number changed and have no contact info. Would i do it again? Maybe if another person in a similar situation asked again. Sometimes you can't take a chance so you get burned.
